Steve Hayward is being tipped as the next player to be allowed to leave Fulham.
The midfielder made a rare appearance under Jean Tigana last night when he played in the reserve line-up against Northampton in the Worthington Cup.
He did better than most and even hit the post with a late effort. But it seems he is not in Jean Tigana's long-term plans and secretly Fulham are open to offers.
Not surprising, then, that Hayward was so disappointed at the team's performance at Sixfields.
Hayward said: "We didn't play particularly well even though we had a few chances.
"It was a chance for the lads who haven't been playing to shine tonight, but we let ourselves down a bit. That's very disappointing. When you're not in the side you've got to go out there and prove a point to the manager when you get a chance, that's all you can do. We let ourselves down a bit, we didn't play well."
Paul Peschisolido is also likely to leave Fulham at some stage in the near future, and he had a bad time at Northampton after being hauled off in the second half to be replaced by young striker Luke Cornwall
