Sean Davis withdraws from U21 squad

Fulham midfielder Sean Davis has pulled out of the England U21 squad that faces Spain this week after being carried off on a stretcher at Gillingham on Saturday.

The young midfield ace, tipped by many as a future Fulham Captain, will not be joining up with his England team-mates but is hopeful of a swift return to the Fulham side after picking up nothing more serious than a dead leg at the weekend.

Sean said: "It's disappointing that I won't be able to make the England squad. It's just a precaution. I got a bad dead leg and it's still a bit sore. I'm very hopeful that I will be ok for next Sunday."
