Fulham
Football Club current Nationwide Champions
returning in style after 33 years in the wilderness.
Despite the extra element of the 1983 game
the Super Whites were not able to penetrate a 10 man Derby defence. Derby
will have to do better to avoid relegation and Fulham will have to do better
if supporter's dreams of European soccer next season are to be anything
other than dreams.
Whether it was the heat, the 10 man defence, the third game in seven days
or a combination of all three the Super Whites did not play as well as they
had against Man Utd and Sunderland.
The new signing Sylvain Legwinski came on as a sub in the second half and
looked useful.
The Fulhamweb prediction
for the Derby game was a trifle optimistic at 3-1 with a crowd of 18250.
The result was a disappointing 0-0 and the crowd was also poor at 15641.
