Premiership Match Day 6 - Wrap

Monday evening's saw the last game in Premiership Match Day 6 and Arsenal was able to see off suffering David Moyes' Everton.
Match Day 6 did not bring much joy to Fulham fans with a defeat by newly promoted West Ham. There is undoubtedly improved team spirit evidenced by increased effort and commitment and over the season it will be worth points.
However the West Ham game also showed for the umpteen time that The Cottagers defence is a major problem. Last season only one non-relegated club, West Brom, let in more goals than Fulham. After Match Day 6 only West Brom and Sunderland have let in more goals than Fulham.
Fulham Broadway continued their unbeaten run and Newcastle got a dose of relief with a win away at Blackburn.
It is of course early in the season and even Sunderland and Everton could turn it around. Individual match comments below come from the SportingLife.

| Arsenal 2-0 Everton |
|
Stand-in skipper Sol Campbell scored twice with headers as Arsenal heaped more woe on Everton with a 2-0 win at Highbury.
It took the Gunners - who won 7-0 against the Toffees last season - just 11 minutes to breach the Everton rearguard.
Jose Antonio Reyes' delivery from a free-kick was inviting enough for Campbell to muscle his way above the Everton defence and head home past Nigel Martyn.
And the Gunners were soon 2-0 up on 31 minutes from exactly the same route as their first goal. Reyes won the free-kick as he turned back inside Leon Osman before picking himself up to deliver the inviting cross from which Campbell rose highest to head powerfully past Martyn for a second time.
Reyes' produced another fine free-kick in the second half which Martyn could only parry, but fortunatley for the visitors Freddie Ljungberg thumped the loose ball against the crossbar. Campbell was all smiles afterwards, saying: "There was one chance for a hat-trick but two is fine.
"Last season there was frustration but it's great getting back and being out there and happy, and getting stronger with my game.
When asked about getting in the England squad, he said: "I want to be back in, that's one of my main goals, I've got to keep on going."
