Premier weekend game details 23:24.08.2003

last updated Friday 22nd August 2003, 10:32 AM
On Saturday Cookie Coleman's Black and White Army travels to Merseyside to meet Everton in the first of their away games in the 2003/2004 season. Last season Fulham lost 11 of their 19 away games winning 2, at Sunderland and Charlton, and drawing the remaining 6. So The Cottagers will be doing well to bring anything back from Everton particularly as Fulham have never won at Goodison in the League.

The Toffeemen suffered a 2-1 away defeat to 10 man Arsenal in their first game of the season unable to convert their control of the midfield into goals. Mr. Moyes continues to grapple with selection problems with Duncan Ferguson, Kevin Campbell, Thomas Gravesen, Lee Carsley and Scot Gemmill all likely to be unavailable. WonderKid Rooney is also recovering from injury and if he plays it will be as a sub.

A tough game for both squads and with the recent bad blood between them it could be one of the hardest clashes of the season.

Elsewhere Bolton need to get a win at home to Blackburn after being steamrollered 4-0 at Man U last weekend. The Fulham Broadway gang welcome Micky Adams' Leicester and the Russian Czar will be expecting more goals and points. Will Mickey be a party pooper? Glen Hoodle claims he is not bothered by the Bookies making him favourite in the Premiership Sack Race but if his lads lose at home to Leeds he could be off quicker than even the Bookies think. If Liverpool fail to collect the points at Villa Park then Gerard Houllier's jacket could also be on a shaky nail.

Fulham result and attendance prediction leagues

The Fulhamweb prediction for Everton v Fulham is as positive as ever so we
will be going for a 2-1 victory for Fulham in front of a crowd of 37500.
