Fulham Manager Chris Coleman was delighted to see his side return to Craven Cottage with a well-deserved win over Bolton Wanderers.
The Welshman saw summer signing Andy Cole score his 199th and 200th League goals of his illustrious career to send the West London faithful home happy.
Coleman was delighted with the effort of Cole in attack on Saturday, as The Cottagers were far more dangerous going forward throughout the contest.
"We're now in a position to sign players of this quality and we needed somebody like Andy in after losing Louis Saha to Manchester United last year," Coleman said.
"He's always ready to take a chance to score and that's the sort of player we've needed.
"He missed a few, but he got two. That's why I brought him to the club."
The Fulham boss was disappointed that less than 18,000 showed up at the new-look 22,000-seat Craven Cottage on Saturday, but he was pleased that the fans that were there saw a convincing performance.
"It is a disappointment we never filled the stadium, but so long as those fans shout and cheer for us, we are happy," Coleman added.
"We created quite a few chances and should have won by more.
"It was a big day coming back here, but the players were focused. Otherwise, you can easily fall flat on your face."

Bolton Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce blasted his side for a poor performance at Fulham.
Two goals from Andy Cole gave the home side something to celebrate upon their return to Craven Cottage after two years away from their spiritual home.
Allardyce was disappointed with the way Bolton responded on Saturday after their opening day win against another London club in Charlton Athletic last Saturday.
"We got what we deserved," admitted Allardyce.
"I didn't expect a performance as poor as that after the win over Charlton last week.
"From a high level, we've gone straight to complete disaster.
"Our defending was abysmal and we couldn't even pass the ball properly.
"You have to look at it and say we had seven away on international duty in the week, but then again, only two were in the starting line-up out there.
"We have to perform consistently week in, week out, to make a mark in this league, but we lost so much from our core performance against Charlton.
"It would have been nice having kept it to 1-0 right to the death to put some pressure on Fulham in the closing minutes, but we couldn't do it.
"We only played the same way as Fulham, with just one up front most of the time, but a performance like this is unusual for us.
"We had eight away wins last season and we should be an established Premiership team, but I'm disappointed to say we didn't look like it.
"We'll have to start putting that right against Southampton on Wednesday."
