Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock will
sign Fulham striker Paul Peschisolido subject to a medical in a cut-price
deal.
Originally, the Premiership newcomers wanted £1million for the diminutive
forward but it is understood the Cottagers have relented and will accept
around £250,000 for the 30-year-old.
Peschisolido had a successful spell on loan at Bramall Lane last season
after being surplus to requirements at Craven Cottage and his imminent arrival
in South Yorkshire has been greeted with enthusiasmby the Blades boss Warnock.
"Paul's arrival brings a better balance to the squad," he said.
"If you take away Carl Asaba we struggled for goals from strikers last
season.
"Paul has had to take a large drop in money but has been prepared to
do that because he really wanted the move."
The Canadian-born player has previously played for Birmingham City, Stoke
and West Brom. He joined Fulham from the Baggies during the 1997/98 season
and is a darting, speedy type of player whose dashing runs at defenders
can cause mayhem in the opponents defence.
Thanks for all the memories Pesch and the best of luck at Sheffield Utd
