FULHAM are reportedly chasing Cameroon international Patrick Mboma, as manager Jean Tigana assembles a squad for The Premiership.

The Parma star has suffered mixed form this season since a move from Cagliari, appearing twenty times but only scoring five goals.

The 30-year-old striker does appear to fit the bill for Tigana who has been linked with a succession of powerful hit-men, including Oliver Bierhoff and Jan Koller.

Mboma is one of his nation's most influential players and his scoring rate for his country does show his presence in the opposition's area.

Although African by nationality, Mboma holds a French passport which allows him to play as an EU national, and would negate the need for a work permit, should Tigana follow up interest and purchase the Parma star.

The major stumbling block would appear to be Parma themselves, who have lost several high-profile stars this year, including misfit striker Amoroso.

Marco Di Vaio and Savo Milosevic have emerged as the first choice pairing up front, but it remains to be seen as to whether another key substitute will be allowed to leave the Ennio Tardini.
