PORTSMOUTH
against Fulham pulls together for Monday night action, a side without defeat in eight home Premiership matches against one not beaten in six away.
  • Pompey are looking for a first home League win over Fulham in 24 years and first top tier maximum against them in 52 years. This is only the Hampshire club's third Premiership match and first for keeper Shaka Hislop to atone for his howler against Charlton last weekend.
  • Portsmouth secured a second season in the Premiership when they held Fulham to a 1-1 draw in this corresponding fixture in May. It was the second successive time that League matches between Pompey and the Cottagers at Fratton Park has ended 1-1 and third time in four such fixtures.
  • Lost only two of the last 12 Premiership matches.
  • Scored a goal a game so far.
  • Won four and drawn four at Fratton Park, since losing 0-2 to Chelsea on 11 February.
  • One goal short of totalling 50 all-time in the Premiership.
  • Last suffered back-to-back defeats in the top League on 13 and 17 March, when beaten by Everton (1-0 a) and Liverpool (3-0 a).

FULHAM play their 2,500th post war League game with one win, one draw and one defeat on the board thus far this saeson.

  • Chris Coleman will be keen to get his troops back in the fray. The point in a 1-1 draw at Manchester City, was followed by a 2-0 home victory over Bolton, only for Middlesbrough to edge out the Londoners in a bright last half-hour of a finely-balanced encounter at the Cottage last Wednesday.
  • The Thames-side club have not lost in seven League visits to Portsmouth in 22 years, and are aiming to make it eight undefeated in home and away League encounters with Pompey.
  • Won two and drawn four away Premiership games, since losing 2-1 to Chelsea on 20 March.
  • Victory would take Fulham past the 150 all-time Premiership points mark (148 at present).
  • Last suffered back-to-back defeats in the top League on 11 and 21 February, when beaten by Aston Vila (1-2 h) and Wolves (2-1 a).
