FULHAM play their first match on the road this season at the same venue where they played the last one. They return to Ewood Park just three months or so after completing a 1-3 victory. That maximum extinguished a six match winless run away from home, when Chris Coleman's charges picked up just one point from the 18 available.
- The Cottagers put in a hugely promising display at home to Birmingham last Saturday and only took a point in a goalless draw. They've never won an opening Premiership fixture away from home, and last took three points from their first match of the season on the road at Birmingham in 2000. They kicked off that campaign with an 11-match winning run and won promotion to the big League.
- The last five meetings between these clubs at Loftus Road, Craven Cottage and Ewood Park have all been away wins. Little hinged on the Cottagers' visit to Rovers last season yet two players were sent off, four goals were scored and a penalty missed. Now Fulham are pursuing a third successive victory on Blackburn turf.

BLACKBURN ROVERS and Fulham both flirted with relegation last season, and both go into this game looking for their first win of the season.
