Howard Webb - Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Howard Webb begun his career in the Rotherham district and North East Counties Leagues and gained promotion to the National List in 1996.
He was a new addition to the Premiership List for the 2003/04 season after consistent performances in the Nationwide leagues.
Mr Webb's first game in the Premiership was Fulham's home game against Wolves back in October last season and after the game he was rated unfit by 60% of voters.
Recently appointed as an FIFA official, Ref Webb, has also taken his next steps up the refereeing ladder with his Champions League debutjust before taking control of The Charity Shield match between Chelsea and Arsenal he hopes more international recognition will come soon.
Ive had a Champions League qualifier in Finland; FC Haka v Vålerenga and then in September Ihave an Under-21 game in Spain. The movement within the FIFA ranks is what you have to look at. Im now on the Third group, so Im hoping to work my way up to the Elite group, he added. But if I can continue to establish myself as a solid Premiership referee Ill be delighted. Thats the bread and butter stuff that you need to always maintain.
