  • Fulham are on the look out for only their second home win over Arsenal in the eighth Premier League meeting at Craven Cottage. The only occasion the Cottagers have taken points off the Gunners on the banks of the Thames in this league was on 29 November 2006, when securing a 2-1 triumph.

  • Fulham are in danger of losing their first two fixtures for the first time ever in the Premier League.

  • Fulham were one of nine clubs Arsenal did the double over last season; Arsenal were one of six clubs to do the double over Fulham.

  • Fulham have lost more matches (12) and dropped more points (38) to Arsenal than to any other club in the Premier League.

  • The only occasion the Cottagers have denied the Gunners victory, apart from the home win two years ago, was in a goalless draw at Highbury on 30 November 2003.

  • Lost their opening match 2-1 away to newcomers Hull, having taken the lead; they are one of nine clubs without a Premier League point.

  • Not lost an opening HOME fixture of a league season since Cardiff won 1-3 on 21 August 1993.

  • This is Roy Hodgson's 20th Premier League match in charge; he is seeking a seventh victory. The previous manager, Lawrie Sanchez, won just 3 in his first 20 league games.

  • Lost the last five London Premier League derbies, and not won any of the last 15; drawn eight and lost seven since Chris Coleman's side beat Arsenal 2-1 at the Cottage on 29 November 2006.

  • A 1-0 home win over Liverpool on 5 May 2007 was their only victory in the last 13 against the 'Big Four'. Lost the last six against the quartet (Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United), and scored one goal in seven against them (v Chelsea).

  • If he scores:-
New signing Andy JOHNSON will reach the milestone of 100 career league goals (Birmingham, Crystal Palace and Everton).
