The proflic striker 30 goals in the league this season and is just one goal away from breaking the club record of 31 goals held by Fatih Tekke.
The Turkish international has finally started living up to the aura which shrouded him as a youth.
Alot had been expected from the 26 year old Turkish international early in his career
however, he never made the start most pundits had predicted.
Born in Antalya on the 15th of July 1985, Yilmaz has already played at Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Besiktas however, he only started making a name for himself after his transfer to Trabzonspor.
A lot of the credit has to go to manager Senol Gunes who has mentored him during his astronomical rise to the top of Turkish football.
Burak Yilmaz has also received interest from Atletico Madrid and Ajax, Trabzonspor have made no official statement or announcement regarding this latest transfer rumour.
