Fulham face FC Haka in InterToto Cup

last updated Monday 01st July 2002, 6:56 PM
Fulham have been handed a Finnish test for the start of their bid for European glory. Fulham will play their first ever European game against Finnish side FC Haka Valkeakoski after being drawn against the Scandinavians in the second round of the Intertoto Cup.

FC Haka qualified for the second round by beating FK Obilic 3-2 on aggregate in the first round.

Jean Tigana's men will play the first leg at Craven Cottage on Saturday July 6 with the away leg in Finland on Sunday, July 14.

FC Haka should not prove too much of an obstacle for the Londoners, as although the Fins reached the Champions League last season they were beaten 9-1 in the qualifying round to Liverpool.

If Fulham is victorious over FC Haka they will meet Greek side Aegaelo in the third round.
