Fulham defender Moritz Volz had a 90 minute run out for the German U21 squad against England in Mainz Bruchwegstadion last night. Germany and England had already qualified for the final stages of the UEFA European Under-21 Championships so the 1-1 draw was a big surprise. Fellow Fulham defender Liam Rosenior was rested by England.

Fulham midfielder Ahmad Elrich came on for the second half in Australia's 2-1 away victory against the Solomon Islands. Tough for some. Australia must now wait to find out which South American team finishes fifth, between Uruguay, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela and Peru at the moment, and the two will then playoff to qualify for the finals in Germany.
