The club have said that they are willing to talk to French outfit Rennes about Fabrice Fernandes' contract situation.
Fernandes is currently on-loan at Craven Cottage, and put in a good display for the team in Tuesday night's Worthington Cup game with Northampton where he managed to get on the scoresheet.
The player has made it clear that he wants to stay, and even asked the club if they would take steps to make the deal permanent, but the problem seems to be Rennes' asking price.
Fulham were quoted £4.5 million for the player, and although they do have the cash available to make that sort of signing, it is unlikely that they would want to just dish out any sort of silly money. So it seems that Fulham will be in contact to discuss a deal in more depth.
