I wanted to highlight Neeskens before our biggest game of the season. He hobbled off with his thigh packed with ice which is a worry. There is a saying in the drug world, 'Don't get high on your supply'. Neeskens during the last 4 games has given us great pace, wonderful dribbles, and most of all, a fantastic end product that was lacking for Fulham. This guy can beat anyone and everyone down the left side, and we desperately need him at Wembley. I cannot remember us converting many free-kicks from dead-ball situations in a long while and Neeskens looks like he can oblige us and keep the supply line producing. Scott Parker will know the threat of Watkins and Benramha in particular, and i feel that we can choke off their supply if the likes of Harrison Reed comes with his 'A' game. Reed has a great desire to play in the prem win or lose listening to his interview on sky. I was kinda hoping that we have Harry Arter available on the bench if needs be? Right now, Neeskens is our star man supplier, and i also think that he will inspire the likes of Knockheart and Cavaliero. Cavaliero in particular is a classy player who has never quite settled at Fulham for one reason or another. He will be well aware that he is our player now by deed poll and he will know that he has not produced for Fulham. The surprise upsurge in form of Neeskens Kabano will i think inspire the likes of Cavaliero when he comes off the bench. We know he and Knockheart can do better, and there is no better stage than Wembley stadium to turn up. Those Bee's are over-confident and they are relying on stats in favour of the 2 games they have beaten us. Thhere is no better time than now for all of our Fulham team to turn up. We will release the beast in Mitrovic and supply him through the middle, and up from both sides left and right. Any free kicks and goals from Neeskens and ny Fulham players will be a bonus. This is business' let's just go out and do it. COME ON FULHAM!!!!!!

Knockaert has been poor for a while now. Shows good passion and works hard. However his crossing and shooting is dreadful. AK looked very dangerous when he came on the other day. His all round game has improved and his pace and power would no doubt cause Brentford problems. His defending and link up play particularly. I personally am a fan off Parker. I’m stressed and nervous for tomorrow night already. However I think little Brentford are putting pressure on themselves and sweating. Come on Fulham if we play how we can we win. Everyone try and enjoy tomorrow. Fingers crossed COYW

I have never really bought into stories of media bias but the news on Talksport changed my mind today. Not word for word but roughly this, Brentford will earn £160,000,000 over the next 3 years if they beat Fulham at Wembley in the playoff final on Tuesday night. How much do Fulham get? Totally unclear reporting. Not everyone knows about football.

so a Brentford player has come out and say Fulham are scared! I love it! He's fallen for it! I don't think Marcondes fully understand the British football/sports culture yet. To many countries that is a sign of confidence. unfortunately, here in UK that is just plain arrogant! That is exactly what we needed to fire up the likes of Cairney, Reed, Mitro, Hector and many other Fulham players who would rather keep their mouth shut and show a little bit of respect ahead of a big final like this!
Replies
Our players should not be fired up by comments like these, their quality should mean they come out firing on all cylinders, ability great, commitment ? we shall see.

Looking forward to tomorrow's game,a great pity for both sets of fans that we cannot attend to support our teams, presumably both managers will now be discussing tactics and pointing out the players to watch in both sides. The BMW trio are our main asset but the one up and coming star(if injury permits) Marc: Hanson totally commands our defence with Jenson, outplay these 2 and the game is yours

I want to go up because it helps the club, and need to beat Brentfrod who hate us with a passion, but not keen on Premiership seems fixed to me, if you have a good game v the big boys it’s most likely there still come out on top because of ref or VAR . There are mistakes in Championship but does even it self out. Premiership look after the big boys who need it least. And media back them

One Man does not make a successful team, as Derby Country are finding out with Mr Rooney in the twlight of his illustrious career. So Harrison Reed has returned to Southampton, well they are not going to let him go for peanuts. Same can be said for Mitrovic, when he has been banned or injured the positive results have continued. Having lost to Brentford FC at home and away this season, this means I shall not be risking any of my hard earnt, but whatever the outcome of these play-offs. Fulham FC need new faces for next season, some will have to have Premiership experience - or it will be like a Premier Lodge stay - very short again. What is our club doing about bringing in on a permanent basis new players of premiership status if this is our long term aim?
Replies
I've searched all the usual media as well as our official site and I cannot see a report anywhere that indicates Reed has returned to So'ton yet.

Arizonan' 'Get off your horse and drink your milk! We are in the finals, we are nearly there! Only that Brentford lot to beat. How many turns and throw offs can you take on that darn Rodeo horse? The real fun is back here down in London and you are in danger of missing out. Some of our lot are looking good and they even look like real footballers. Scotty's adopted lad' Josh Onomah is a real find, Neeskins Kabano has finally woken up from a dream and he looks world class, i swear he is worth 70 mill. AK-47 who you really want to know about has put in some target practice and i reckon he can hit a fly with a potato gun. Mad Harry Arter, is 'er' not mad after all, just pretending. Tom Cairney is having his hair do for the big day, and he swears that he will be the match-winner. There is more to tell, but you gotta show some interest and aptitude. Slavis, Laudrup, Balotelli and all my other intelligent suggestions are not coming and nobody listens to me anyway. Might as well go along with the Scott Parker brigade for now and see where it takes us. Adios Amigo's' remember the Cottage and 'er' FULHAM!!!!!!!!!!

Not saying we are going to need it, but if it comes our way? Who are we to look a gift-horse in the mouth. /Wow.! that was some finish to the Silverstone Grand Prix Guy's. Bottas was very unlucky with his tyre burst 2 laps from home, and then i am wondering about Hamilton's tyres? 2 cars which are virtually identical, they can usually break down one after the other. Lewis Hamilton must surely know this weeks lottery numbers because his tyre burst on the last lap, yet he steered it home like a good un. There is no chance we should need any luck to beat Brentford on a vast Wembley pitch on Tuesday. If some of it comes our way' why not take it. Did anyone notice that AK-47 fizzed a few shots across our wet and soggy Fulham surface that would have troubled the likes of the goalkeeper Allison at Liverpool? I think Kamara has gone to a rifle range and beat the hell out of those pistols, along with some shooting boot practice. I hope Scott Parker has noted those fine details because we all witnessed it. If Kamara gets his usual customary 10 minutes, i hope he pops a few good-uns down those Bee's throuts' er' goals. COME ON FULHAM!!!!!!!

Like Brentford about to score and the ball punctures and stops on the line and Rodders picks it up and gives it to the ref. The new ball is kicked the full length of the pitch hits Mitro on the head and goes in the net for the games only goal.

I made the post as I do not have confidence in Parker as the right manager as he does not have the ability to motivate the players. I also worry about the coaching staff as our players appear to lack fitness. Yes, you can argue that Parker has done well in his first full season but I suspect that anyone could have achieve what he has, bearing in mind the so called quality of our squad. I believe that the Championship has been very poor this season and yet we have never been in the top two despite so many opportunities to do so. If, and it is still a big if, we reach the Premiership we do not have sufficient quality to compete at that level. Everyone complained last season about our inability to compete and most longed to be back in the Championship so that we could compete and win matches. I consider half of our team are too slow and need to be shipped out and replaced with seasoned pros if we want to remain in the top flight. Watching Bournemouth play attacking football was a joy and despite being relegated they were unfortunate. Our supporters are divided on whether Parker is t.he right person for the Club but I believe he lacks the passion which is necessary to inspire and the ability to produce a fighting team prepared to shed blood for success.

This season has been a success it’s hard to go down and come straight back up don’t think anyone has done it since Newcastle. He has done better than Slav now who got knocked out against reading in the play off. Anyone saying at the start of the season they expected automatic isn’t taking in consideration the lockdown and how that cost us 6 points. Parker has also improved so many players through coaching, something the longer we give him the more we will benefit long term from.

For some time now i have watched your forum amongst others. My reading of the situation is over 50% of your postings seem to be for or against Parker, with the "out" edging very slightly. Fulham who is generally regarded as the most valued and talented site in the championship has had, a modicum of success but should you fail to make the premiership your season will be regarded as a failure, and with the difficulty in retaining your best players, season 20/21 without analysing and restructuring from management to player level could be a difficult one for you. All the best to both teams Tuesday,I think it will be a cracker.

My feeling, for what it’s worth, is that not losing to Brentford is more important than actually being promoted. Kunye I may be a bit thick, but I don't understand how we can swop Bryan for Reed with Southampton and Bryan for Targett with Villa. I'm sure I have heard a chant Theres only one Joe Bryan, I've never heard that there are two Joe Bryans. Although I hope we sign Harrison, I would like him to stay. Targett is only in the Villa team because of injuries. He is not their first choice.

Let us not even think about players we need until we have won or lost on Tuesday. If we are in the Premier League we will have £150m to spend if we remain in the Championship we will have spending power of about £20m. Chalk and cheese I would say.

When visiting my betting account on line, I was amazed to find that Brentford are 4/6 favourites to win on Tuesday, with Fulham at 11/10, and I thought that it would be the other way around. Time to lump on Fulham at those odds, and that's what I will be doing.

Goal scoring power, tactical innovation and fitness??? Didn't they say that before the last game against Barnsley, which they were certain would give them automatic promotion. They would have, if they had beaten a Barnsley side who were too good for them, even though they were relegated. I'm sure that most Fulham fans are glad it is only Brentford we are playing, and not Barnsley.

We have to be underdogs for this game; Brentford has totally outplayed us on both occasions this season and unless Parker changes his tactics, we will need a hell of a lot of luck to beat Brentford this time. They will rip in to us from the first kick, preventing us from taking our usual time to warm up

Also they are serial bottlers every playoff usually at the hands of an ExFulham player and this season needed 2 points out of the last 6 to get automatic and they lost both games. Don’t worry they are only good when they are underdogs the fact they are favourites almost guarantees they will lose.

What happened to Wigan is an absolute disgrace, when it became apparent we had no chance of being promoted outright I was hoping, I never thought I would say this I was they would beat us. They have been badly treated especially in light of Sheffield Wednesday been deducted twelve points from next season, the offence took place this year, so they should have been deducted this year.Derby will probably get the same punishment. Football is becoming a joke what with Bournemouth getting relagated because of the goal line technology. All this taking a knee is a joke and the supposed fist for black power, do they not know this has been an IRA salute since the 1920,s. James Maclean and Declan Rice must be really happy.

His enthusiasm for Thursday's game shows he is Fulham through. Any muscle injury could be seriously made worse by playing. By Tuesday the injury will a lot better and with six weeks to recover, if the worse happens, it is a risk worth taking. These are the sort of logical decisions managers have to take that are beyond the understanding of most contributors to this site.

Seriously guy's, i think our groundstaff over-used the watering can at the Cottage. Contrary to anyone thinking that Cairney slipped up over his shoe-lace before the free-kick, it was slippy through water. The same sort of thing happened to Cyrus Christie in the penalty box which could have cost us dearly. Over exuberance of water should only be used 'if' we are certain that it will benefit us, it did not. It gave added advantage to Cardiff in my opinion and the evidence was clear for all to see. Up to this game against Cardiff, i would have lightened up Christie as one of our biggest improvers but this game shows that there is a need to work on his accuracy. Don't get me wrong, the lad has improved lot and i like his lung-bursting spurts up the pitch. Christie still needs to improve on that final ball to whoever arriving into the penalty area. Our biggest improver is a pleasant surprise in Kabano. This guy is seriously decent and i feel that he is better than Reidy, Knockheart, and Cav, Sorry guy's, you still need to work harder! Starting back, Kabano has scored in every game i think? His assists contributions are excellent. Neskins has the ability to beat anyone down that left side. Neskins was used sparingly by Slavisa and i salute Parker for persevering with him. Josh Onomah is turning out to be the golden nugget that Spurs chucked away and now Fulham are reaping the benefits. This last game was a game too much for Onomah and i am puzzled by Parkers selections considering that we were 2 goals up from the first game. I understand that Brentford like to play their best 11 as much as they can and they do not have the biggest squad. I just think that Scotty went down that channel of thought, but it wasn't nessesary to do that. More changes could have been made to take the heat of some of our more vital players? I hope we can have the services of Kabano at Wembley because he is proving to be our best provider and his goal tally is fantastic. If i can just hark back to that league game against Cardiff 2-0 at the Cottage? Johansen was on in the 80th minute and he made a brilliant assist to Onomah who scored a brilliant instinctive goal. Please-please Scotty, why not play Johansen from the get-go? infact, our most experienced players should play against an industrious and inventive Brentford. Josh Onomah will reap some much-added benefit in the presents of Johansen on the pitch. This game will be a lung-buster, and i think that Johansen adds some much needed distraction when he can roll a free-kick. Johansen is one of our most experienced pro's and maybe we can get in front before we need to sub him? I hope that Scotty doesn't wait to ring the changes if we are a fewgoals down because the season is telling on a few jaded footballers after the virus break. Brentford will get on the front foot like they blitzed Swansea. We must fight fire with fire, and that can only mean, play our most experienced players like Johansen from the get-go. Over to you' Tom Cairney' 'drive us into dream-land gain' COME ON FULHAM!!!!!!!!!
Replies
It is the players who ask for all this wetting you know. They believe a ball runs truer on a damp surface and that if they fall it will be a softer landing. Anyway Cairney did not slip he booted his kicking foot on to his standing foot onto the ball.

Long winded story short, if nothing else spell their names correctly. As in Neeskens Kebano and Knockaert.

I accept your reasoning that Johansen is an experienced player, and can help the team. But I disagree with you saying that he must play in the final. I believe his best years are behind him, and Scott is aware of that, and will use him if and when it is deemed necessary. You say I salute Parker for perservering with Kebano. I don't agree. Kebano was deemed good enough to be given the number seven shirt, but until recently hadn't been given a chance by Parker. Since coming on as a sub and scoring he has been given his chance, and shown what a good player he is. If he had been given this chance earlier, we wouldn't have needed to sign Cavaliero.
posted by Alicante Bert (Guest) - Saturday 01st August 2020, 11:53 AM

Bert' we all agree that Kabano is a very good player and for whatever reason for not playing in the past, we now know how good this guy is. I still think that we have signed a very good player in Cavaleiro, we just need to get the best from him. Maybe his form is still affected by his move from Wolves and he is missing his Portuguese mates? I seriously think this guy can expand on the brilliant free-kick he executed in a past game i can't remember which? Wembley is seriously a big occasion and i feel that with all the frenetic and frantic pace that will sap some players strength, a slower and methodical Stefan Johansen is exactly what we need on the pitch. I love to see pace and players running and trying hard, but there is no need for burnout. Johansen has shown that he can link up well with young Josh Onomah and maybe Scott Parker can mull over that idea? Johansen is usually introduced around the 70 minute mark, i say introduce him from the get-go! Brentford will press hard and early and try to get that first goal, we need to fight fire with fire too. I just think that our bigger squad numbers will edge this contest. Providing that Scott Parker picks a decent and balanced line-up, and very importantly, use our subs intelligently. We are supporting our manager, and it would be great to see Scotty bring some knowledge and astuteness to the table, when using subs. We can do it' we can win this game at Wembley...

Owen, so who would you leave out to start Steph? Brentford will hit us with pace and as you said we need to hit fire with fire, so does that not mean we need someone with pace?
posted by Gaz - Saturday 01st August 2020, 8:54 PM

We have plenty of pace Gaz' in abundance. I think we need to hold our shape in midfield and try not to get over-run too many times by the Brentford pace guys. We know they are clever and cute at what they do, we can be too. A few games back, Johansen shows us what he can bring to the table with his assist and clever antics on the pitch. Surely Parker can accommodate him early on in the game? Just looking at Arsenal v Chelsea today, those Arsenal guys know how to run down a game. The final will be hectic anyway, so there will be a need to ease off the gas pedal. Watching todays FA cup final is typical of what we will get on tuesday. Players will go down with cramp and i hope we don't get many bookings or a ref like they had today. I really don't believe that Johansen will play a part in the first half because Parker doesn't think like that. We can just hope for a good starting 11 and hopefully get that early breakthrough.

Brentford lost to Swansea and then beat them second leg but didn't blow them away like we did to Cardiff. And they won 3-2 same as us. Point of the story is we won and we can beat Brentford Tuesday. Nothing to fear. All or nothing. Furthermore Cardiff's first goal was a foul on the keeper no matter what way you look at it. Cardiff got away with a lot. They didn't create hardly any clear cut chances and did you see the stamp on onamahs ankle?????? Pathetic glad we beat them. COYWs

I don't know about you, but I was more nervous about last night's game than I am about the Final. Cardiff had nothing to lose; we had everything to lose. We had some luck. But overall, we deserved to progress. I know that some Fulham fans (particularly older ones) have a soft spot for Brentford... and I don't just mean the bottom of the Grand Union Canal. In days gone by, some fans would go to Fulham one week and Brentford the next. Some of those fans will even remember our neighbours being in the old First Division. Some of us will have relatives (we don't talk to) or (former) friends who support them. They will have the backing of the old romantics and those who think it fitting if their new ground were to host Premier League football next season. Personally, I think it would have been quite nice for us both to have gone up this season. We've got to put to one side their recent record against us. Our manager is improving, our players look as though they're playing for one another. We should fancy being slight underdogs. And so what if the neutrals are going to be against us? We have a great little squad. Yes, it's in need of some tweaks. But we could make a decent fist of the PL with this squad and an improving manager. If we don't make it, it will be particularly galling to fall to our neighbours. But I think we're in for a decent season next season whichever division we are in. Let's really get behind Fulham on Tuesday. If we shout loud enough, they might even hear us.

One regular at my local was a Fulham fan and he and his friends like nothing better than to discuss each teams performance over a few beers always interesting sadly he passed away last year and is very much missed by all who knew him. Next week our meeting without us fans is a shame as I think with a full house we would all be in for a treat of a game between two excellent footballing sides. Brentford are a good team and so are we. For example they are not as good as the Aston Villa team we beat in our previous final. Our defending is not as bad as Swansea's who gifted Brentford three goals. There first goal for example the keeper throws a long ball to an unmarked wingers who passes it to the unmaked centre forward. I am sure we will not allow that. Being our first game back was what lost us to Brentford at home. We matched them until the last ten minute when we tired badly. We are much fitter now and will not falter. Stop them playing as much as possible and if our attacking is urgent and our finishing accurate we will win. Brentford will be the favourites but on our best game we are much better than them.

Very odd game, we won the fulham way, difficult! and had the need for a defibulater handy, parker as always spent time flicking his hair when the breeze round the cottage moved it,and again showed no motivation at all, bland , hands in pocket no smile crossed his face throughout the game even at the end.One piece of amusment was his audition for mi6 along with cairney marchand gave him a note, cairney read it with difficulty it seemed them lobbed it on the pitch, just the right audition for mi6 brilliant. After the game it appears he just told them i think! not very good need to get better,so cairney said, you would have thought we had just gone down , hardly klopp. Full steam ahead for tuesday, must be the most even match ever.

Not really PC but here goes. A ministry official is touring his local asylum when a smartly dressed man approaches him and says "There has been a terrible error and no way should I be in here",I'm perfectly sane and can you please tell whoever is responsible for sending me here to get me released" After a lengthy talk with the man the official tells him " you certainly appear to be normal and I will talk it over with whoever sent you here with a view to getting you released" As the man from the ministry is walking away the patient picks up a house brick and hurls it at the back of his head shouting " Don't forget o tell him will you!"

Games coming too fast and furisiously. Needed a break to recharge. Bad result at home again, but now this put the onus on our players to perform and do what we singularly failed to do in the league. This play-off is a one-off, so the odds should be even. Anybody putting money on Fulham FC ?

Cardif make you think they are playing well by pounding the ball in the box from every conceivable situation. Good defending should stop any danger but twice we defended badly. We controlled most of the game apart from when they got their second goal when for ten minute we panicked, that was the the key to winning the tie as more by luck than judgement we came through it whole. In terms of good chances we had more than they did. It is a good team that can come through a tough examination like that.

Whilst it was far from a convincing performance last night, It's quite difficult to get ' pumped up' when you are two goals to the good and Cardiff as expected threw everything bar the kitchen sink at them. Players are not Robots and the fact remains that we are in the play- off final and I have no doubt that with or without Mitro we will see the job through and return to the top level - Though staying there is quite another thing !

I am somewhat bemused by comments by fellow posters who actually believe that our players did step up to the plate last night. Will those people who watched the game please tell me who was our man of the match and did we show any glimpses of attacking football which will be needed to beat Brentford. Perhaps I am a pessimist but I consider the players need to up their game a few notches if they are to beat the foe on Tuesday. Of course, just my opinion.

Yep you’re a. Pessimist. We played Cardiff over two legs. During those matches we played some decent stuff and scored 3 goals whilst they only scored two. As a result we are going to Wembley. Nothing else matters.

Just read on sky sports we actually qualified for the final. Is it true? After reading some of the comments on here I was sure we failed to get through and play in the final. Must have been either Brentford supporters or football pundits looking for perfect football. I think sky or BT are showing some replays of classic football which obviously some want to see. Still now I know we have done well I’ll congratulate the team and Scotty for getting the job done. I suppose some supporters will never be happy whatever we do. COYWs

Cardiff have a great away record they drew 3-3 at Leeds. Won at Forest and Preston amongst others. We did well under the circumstances. Worse still we could easily have folded. Lets not over estimate Brentford but they will let us play football again. It will depend who dictates the play and has that so important bit of luck!

wasnt great last night but ultimately we made it through over the two legs and thats all that counts now, no point dwelling on that and i dont personally think the semi final performances can give us much insight into how tuesday will go considering (hopefully) Mitro will be back, its a one off final at wembley and a high pressure game. Fulham have been there and done it and although our record against brentford is poor, thier record in the play offs is poor. Anything can happen tuesday. my question is where is everyone watching it? I guess the club are not aloud to put up big screens at the ground or outside it or anything like that. Will you guys go watch it in the pubs close to the cottage or just at home? whats the thinking ... i live in essex but feel its only right i watch it in some way with other fulham fans ... any ideas or suggestions?

The big difference to me this time around vs Brentford is we have great options from the bench, when they caught us on the break to beat us 1st game back they introduced some flyers who improved the counter attacking ability, we did not have Kamara then, i think it will be tight for 60/70 minutes and then the benches will play a major part, we could have Bobby Reid, Cav and Kamara to introduce late on and that could be significant this time around.. I think we go in as slight underdogs as well, if our big players turn up, Rodak, Hector, Cairney and Mitrovic then we have a great chance

We need to pray he gets back, not even for scoring goals, but for defending set pieces. With the lineup we had, we were tiny and poor in the air -- Knockaert, Reed, Reid, TC, Bryan, Kebano. None of these players are winning most aerial duels, and Cyrus, Ononmah and Ream are average at their positions. I think Abou deserves to start, especialy if Neeskens is out. His physicality will be needed against Brentford.

MST after tonight's game do you still believe we do not have defensive problems. Unfortunately, Zi did not see the game but, judging from the comments on this board, we were poor for most of the game. In my pre-match comments I stated the players needed to step up to the plate but, as it turns out, they did not. Neil Harris appears to have motivated his team and obviously, Parker remains an egnima and this was demonstrated by bringing on another defender towards the end of the game. I am amazed that one poster thought our players looked knackered at the end and, if this was the case, the ability of the manager and coaching staff must be called into question. In my younger days many people would play on Saturdays and Sundays and sometimes doubling up on a Sunday morning and afternoon and then work five days a week. As most posters know that we would pay to play and I fail to understand how highly paid professional footballers find it difficult to play two matches a week on excellent pitches, changing rooms and showers which are a million miles from Wormwood Scrubs and Hackny Marshes with their uneven pitches which had ten been visited by dog walkers. No doubt, some posters will explain that I do not understand that this finely tune athletes need time to rest and recuperated.

Said it manys times before our fitness level is at most 80min and that has got to be down to coaching methods,if we are on par with Brentford after 75min we will get torn apart.

Well that was a real Fulhamish performance, losing at home after winning away, and thank goodness for that late goal from the free kick at Cardiff, otherwise we would have probably have been out, as extra time would have been a bridge too far. At times, especially in the first half, we played some really delightful football, but missing Mitro came home to roost, and I have a feeling that he won't be fit for Tuesday. Promotion for either us or Brentford will be a disaster, as we both have no chance of survival in the Premier League. I am a great admirer of Rodak, but why oh why does he kick the ball into touch nearly every time, putting us on the back foot, as we lose all our attacking chances, and as for Knockaert, when will he next score a goal. I thought that he was a great signing, but I am losing faith in him very fast. Maybe, Wembley will be where he shines, as it's a big stage, but I won't hold my breath.

Absolutely stepped up to the plate. The idea of football is to qualify for the next game and it would be very easy to fall apart when things ain’t going right. They won over 180+ minutes which is what every decent supporter wants. If we get outplayed in the final and win 1-0 happy days. Well done Fulham and bring on Tuesday.

We were not poor, Cardiff were very good in the limited way they play. We coped with their bombardment for most of the game, most other teams in the Championship would not of coped as well as we did. It was a good performance. Most people forget you can only play as well as your opposition let you in any game.

Parkers tactics is a liability, we knew Cardiff were gonna throw the kitchen sink at us and boy they did. With Brentford, he has to drop the fancy football possession and be more direct especially AK-47, get him on and be the battering ram Fulham needs as Brentford knows how we play and if we play different the bees will be rattled. If Mitro and Kebs are fit I would drop BDR or Knockers and unleash the AK-47.Let Wembley love us and make up for the disasterous 2018/19 season.

I read a number of over reactive comments as let’s be honest Fulham’s performance 2nd half on Monday was outstanding. If they repeat that T Wembley no one will compete. However pressure was part of tonight’s game and Cardiff are brutal - route one and defensively we dug in to win. We are going to Have to be at our best to beat Brentford which I think we will and pressure got to them in 2 previous games losing both. Have faith and one thing I’m sure about is that unfortunately Knockhart has not played well for a number of games and makes bad decisions with the ball. Shame he’s trying . Come on guys let’s be positive and well do it again.
Replies
Kevin- I think you are spot on. The first leg score was always going to dictate the way each team approached the second leg. Almost no matter what the coaching staff would have said, the players would have been very nervous about conceding a goal and having their lead halved. Going all out to get the first goal of the night would have been foolish on Fulham's part. After conceding so early on in the second half, I'm pretty pleased with the character shown. Several times this season, Fulham have seen comfortable leads eaten away, but they have held on. A 2-0 first leg lead was not so comfortable. Well done the lads.

We should be ready for Tuesday. Can’t believe what I was seeing at times tonight though. We didn’t seem to struggle with set pieces and throw ins in the first leg. This leg we didn’t know how to defend at times. Must stay cool in the final and let Brentford do the panicking

Crazy play second half allowed cardiff to build up a head of steam constant free kicks throw ins not using the ball lack of passing but some positives we held out against a well organised team playing. To there strengths and bang in form using these tactics. Little bees wont give us as much as a going over as cardiff did. Bit concerned about our fitness. And a day less recovery to get a few players. Ready

Normally the loser of the Final gets to keep the gate receipts (fact) as some form of consolation, so it's a shame that Brentford are going to walk away with 4 pounds and 96p and we get 140 million.

Making it to the premiership, staying one season then relegated will give that club aprox 200m 140m 1st season relegated 2nd 60m,who would not want that sort of experience, as it would. set them up financially for a while.

Geezer stay down will be moving backwards as our parachute payments start to decrease and we have to prepare for them stopping if we don’t go up again

Totally agree Guy,and as Delia Smith said recently re her Norwich, being a yo yo team like we are and the payments we receive keeps us solvent.

You have to take promotion ready or not as delia said the money’s good If you don’t want promotion and relegation not much point really Take these two away and football in general will be pointless

In my humble opinion Fulham must prove they are capable of winning and winning well so I expect a 3-0 result tonight. However, the man concern is whether all players step upto the plate rather relying on 3 04 players to carry them Through. Personally, I wonder whether it might be best to keep Mitrovic on the bench even if he is fit enough to start. Start with the team which won at Cardiff but Parker must make sure they go all out from the start. They must learn to attack the other team and this will be extremely important when we meet Brentford who are capable of exposing our defensive fragility. Please cut out the tippy tappy football and stop playing around our own penalty area which is always dangerous. I consider Wembley should suit us and provided we get in Brentford's faces from the word go we have nothing to fear. However, please stop trying to play out from the back all the timeand get Rodak to hoof the ball occasionally up to Mitrovic to pressurise Brentford. In you we believe.

I'm not a Parker fan in any way, shape of form BB but I can't agree that our defence is fragile when we've had 17 clean sheets this term and five in the last 10 games.

Once we got over the second half mullering by Leeds and collapsing in the dying minutes of the Brentford game (both of which, I believe was down to fitness), the only other hiccup was Sheff Weds which was pretty much a second string team with several first choicers missing and a basket ball match.

Cardiff threw the kitchen sink at us in the first half hour Monday and I thought we defended admaribly if I'm honest. Our failures in my opinion are that we don't counter attack quick enough, we don't use enough width and we are shot shy in the final third. That is until Kebano learned how to take a free kick lol.

Agree MST, the fitness levels always seemed to be a problem with us, Match that with a lack of concentration and it’s a problem that we have had all season in my opinion. We seemed to have got a lot of this under control for most of the time recently. Will they start Mitro or bring him on?.

Agree with all above but the danger is Parker make several changes to the starting line out .

Hello! Differnt game tonight IMO. We can expect an onslaught in the first 30 only this time we've got 2 goals to the good. I expect a counter-attacking display will be key today and I hope to see much more movement in midfield AND another belter from Neeskens
