Players wages in the Championship now exceed the profits or all the teams taking part. The EFA are now considering a maximum wage that could be paid per week to footballers in our league so be prepared for an exdus of those foreign players who come here to earn their corn. Mind you this is totally against all the Jimmy Hill stood for when Chairman of the PFA and got Johnny Hayes £100 per week. What would he or Bobby Moore be worth today?????

I have been asked by my sons and now grandson many times “how much would players I watched when I was young be sold for?” Or who could have played in the premier league. It’s hard to work out because of diets, facilities and medical care. More to the point what if we had VAR then. The game would have taken ages to finish.

Get to read messageboard about twice week now. General feeling is that Parker should go. I must admit I am not a great fan of 'promotion from within'.Its a cheap option and I prefer managers who inherit a set of players he has never met.Parker knows them all too well. It's true, we are not consistant, although we are well up the league. A lot of people are posting about the Prem., but I think we should be a bit careful for what we wish for. There has been a lot of managers lose their jobs already this season and a lot more are on the brink. There all scared to death of going down as we all are, but a lot of the clubs that are struggling are much bigger than us with much bigger support! If we are lucky and somehow reach the Prem.,we need to be better prepared than last time.

Good Tory win but leaving EU will cripple country for 10 years.

Good that we now have certainty about Brexit for short term growth but long term uncertainty will slow investment.

Good that there was a large majority and that DUP is no longer needed but Sinn Fein strengthening and a hard boarder may see the beginning of the end for NI as part of GB.

Hard Brexit or soft Brexit we will now have less alies and the future for the next generation is now more volatile than ever.

Oh well....

As much as I don’t like Johnson the result meant some stability (good or bad) in the coming years! Otherwise, the meeting with the queen would be 1) we don’t know if we are leaving EU or not! 2) we are happy for the Scots to leave the union! 3) we need to punish the super wealthy people earning more than 80k (btw way, after tax and rent or mortgage in London, leaves about £400 a week for bills and kids - super wealthy indeed!) 4) we need to collapse all railway, bus, electric and even telecom companies (about 20% of our private pension) and give their shareholders some worthless bonds! I’d rather not leave EU and I’d rather have a pm with more integrity but hey - at least we can move on and have some stability!

We can learn from these 3 promoted clubs instead of wallowing in self-pity and that is what we do at Fulham. The 3 teams that went up are fighting and picking up the odd results against the odds. We can do the same if we ever get back there some time. It doesn't look like it will be this season. I have a horrible feeling that we are on a downward spiral of our own making and i can't think why this is so? Our biggest weakness is our obvious defence and the Dennis Odoi sending off sums up Fulham at this present time. Odoi is an enigma and a mystery. He can be so much better and we all know it, So can the likes of the highly-rated Alfie Mawson and Joe Byran, i could go on and on but sadly no. What are we' jinxed? I just can't put my finger on why we performed beautifully against Derby, with precise passing and good movement, almost purring like stealthy panthers. The Swansea game away was an expected tough encounter and we knew we would have a tough game. A draw would not have been a surprise we would have taken that but we won. Bristol City was always going to be a banana skin but we were at home and should have gotten at least a draw. Losing to a poor Preston sums up our indifferent season and there is no excuse for Cairney not playing. We are not Man City with 2 squads but we do have ample subs ready and waiting to play for Fulham. I can't work out the ambitions of the Khans or how much more time Scott Parker will get, but we sure owe it to ourselves to show more guts and fight going into Brentford, Leeds, and a revenge mission to beat Stoke back at the Cottage. If we get some decent results in the next 3 games, it will not be a surprise, and the Parker faithfuls will say 'i told you so' and i no doubtly will be singing Scotty's praises once again. We owe it to ourselves to show much more consistency and there are no reasons why we can't in this league. Afterall said, we are the club a lot of teams envy and our spending power is far above most teams below us. Put the 3 promoted teams back in this division for a minute, and we beat them 1 week and they beat us another. We are a puzzle at Fulham these days and sad to say this' i kinda want us to lose the next 3 and see Parker gone which is a sad thing to say. If we amble on through this season and winning the next 2, then losing the next 2 or 3 again, it will be very sad and we will have wasted a golden opportunity to go up. At the end of the day, i would like Fulham to dig in when the going gets tough and grind out more results playing ugly. The good passing stuff we can do when we want to, but much more is needed now. Scott Parker is no fool, and he will know that the axe-man will fall on his short reign soon. Put it all behind us, let's see a new invigorated Fulham going forward now...
Replies
Are you for real? Earlier this week Parker was a doughnut and a dunce, now he is no fool. Get of the bloody fence for God’s sake. You constantly change your tune because you can’t bear to be proved wrong. At leat the anti/pro Parker posters on here are consistent where as you are not. Last week we don’t need to worry about the defence and now we do. By the way the nickname the Brahma Bull that you have given AK is badly thought out. Brahma bulls were introduced to the USA from India. Brahma is a Hindu god, AK is a Muslim, I’m sure he would be delighted about that.

Gaz' you have hit the nail on the head, this is precisely what our Fulham are at the moment, hot then cold! Like i say' 'Scott Parker is no fool' he will know the axe will fall sooner or later' and that's how we are this season summing up. Do you think Parker is sleeping soundly? He probably will be mulling over how we play good one minute and crap another game. More supporters are calling for him to be sacked, not because they hate him, but because of our indifferent form and results. The experts can't put their finger on why we are like we are also, it is a puzzle. By the way, 'The Rock say's' smile if you can smell it'!!! The Rock in WWF brought the Brahma bull to the table, and he is Moiri. I wouldn't take that one too seriously. If this Fulham team splits up, i think the more atute coaches will accommodate and find more use for the likes of Kamara more than Fulham. We chuck away talent that can be nurtured all the time and we will do so again. I might call Parker a dunce but if he beats Leeds? He is a gentleman and a scholar, that is the mind of a football fan. If a team loses to the likes of a poor Preston, you are a doughnut. Thats how it is summing up Fulham this season....

What a pathetic reply. This is NOT what our Fulham are it’s what you are. I am not speaking about the team so don’t keep changing the subject. Did you ever answer how long you have been a Fulham fan? No you didn’t. Was it you last week that said we don’t need to worry about our defence, yes it was. I find your posts absolutely poor, therefore I shall not read or answer any more of your childish posts again. By the way it’s not Parker that’s the dunce it’s you. I would never predict or even think about our team getting beat, I might add that quite a few of our fans may feel the same. Stick to wrestling because you enjoy the land of make believe.i think a Muslim would be offended if he was nicknamed after a Hindu god you I’ll educated idiot.

Young Jay Stansfield scored a hat trick in today under 18 youth cup, this i believe takes his season tally to 21. The team won 10 1 against south shields. I watched this game in atrocious conditions, and talking to several of the MP staff, they stated there were at least 4 scouts watching young Jay.In a rain sodden pitch i was amazed at his turn of speed.Although no great fan of Slavi i must say he did believe i giving youth a chance, no such thing under tosser Parker, who it is reported is now looking at a Spurs loanee who is at Leeds, and as yet not been given game time. I personally would be very weary at paying in excess of 1m to Spurs for any player look at the smart part exchange deal we got for Siggers. COME ON PARKER GIVE YOUTH A CHANCE if only to let the loyal fans see what we may have been missing.

Some clubs are living on a knife edge of existence. Our losses were also great and if we hadn't been promoted we would have risked penalties despite what the club might have said. Also imperative that we get promoted quickly or the wage bill will have to be drastically cut and all this put into the hands of an inexperienced Head Coach to get us promoted at the first time of asking, no wonder problems exist with these clubs.

Look at Manchester City FC, Champions of the Premiership let Vincent Company go to Anderlecht, have one or two injuries and are now in the slipstream of Liverpool FC who will win the Premiership this year now. Fulham FC bought in loads of players last season and again this season, many on loan without any attachment to our club. For all the hype about Harry Ater what has he contributed so far? Just like Alfie Mawson last year. Why do we keep signing players when they are injured or have a record of injury. Forget about promotion, unless we sign two central defenders and a new right back with some experience of the Championship. Look at what Gary Cahill is doing for Crytal Palace. SIGN LEWIS DUNK as Brighton H A are not playing him now....so I'm told WINNING SIDES BUILD FROM THE BACK!
Replies
I agree that we can’t defend. But it’s not just defenders. AK was standing next to the player who scored Preston’s first and just looked at him. Defensively we are lazy. We don’t have a defensive leader which we have missed since Hagaland left. I don’t care about promotion as the prem league is no competition and so rubbish. But I want players on £30k plus a week to do the basics. I reckon we need a second striker and midfield general, box to box tackler. Would be nice to win the cup!

If you don’t appear to be as knowledgeable as them, or making an honest mistake, they like the feeling of being a big man and mr Fulham by questioning your allegence. For the record you are spot on. Parker is the problem. We may be 3rd but in any other season, we would be bottom half. We have dropped 28 points (almost half) and still third. No where near good enough. You seem to have had the only 2 people on this site who are backing Parker pop up to shoot you down.

All you idiots asking for Parker to be sacked,2 questions Who will replace him? Who in there right minds with any ambition would take on this very average maybe top half of the table squad without spending millions on a load of jolly foreigners and probably foreign manager to take over a club with a 3 sided ground you are all living in cloud cookoo land . West Ham,arsenal and Everton can’t even find a half decent manager. Unless you want a Tony Pulis or Sam Allardyce stop moaniing and be grateful your 3rd. Play offs at best
Replies
Spot on Chief. Add to the managerial woes the malign hand of Khan junior. Irrespective of recent form we are in the playoff places and are likely to remain there or thereabouts for the forseeable future and a change of manager (is Parker actually a manager or is he still a "coach") is neither feasible for nor desirable for the reasons you stated. The ohnomore / O'Riley conumdrum is symptomatic of the club's lack of joined up thinking where the supposed future value of a run-of-the-mill lower league player(s) is most probably skewing team selection while home grown talent sits in hope on the sidelines. Deja vu all over again, as Yogi Berra would have it.

All the hard work to build a small gap between ourselves and fellow play-offs contenders wiped out in a few days!! Instead of being further ahead of Bristol City and Preston, we are back in the mix with them, and a 4game gap with the top 2! this is very disappointing. All the hard work literally gone in 60 seconds!! What is even more frustrating is our team selection! Why do we keep playing Ohnoma (spelling but maybe better spelt on-my-god!), stopped playing Kamara and not start playing Kabano. Every time we try to outsmart the oppositions, it backfires! Very disappointing and realistically play-off at best!

Please leave Parker alone, its not his fault if he was appointed by people who have no knowledge of football. This was proved on promotion to the Premier League, just consider the crap that was brought in by the same people who appointed Parker. No good slating the manager, although the best thing for this great club would be for the board to get someone in who understands the game as a director of football who could appoint a proven and experienced manager/head coach.
Needs doing before it is too late.
Replies
Of course the Board are culpable BUT Parker took the job, some might have advised him not to take the job having no experience of being a Head Coach at this level. Parker is paid a good wage to do a job and the flak that comes with the role, he would have known this.

Parker isn't the problem? All the experts say we have the best squad in the division when we do decide to turn up. We do play some good football in games such as against Derby County. What is the problem now? Too many inconsistence games on the road for a start and games we should win back at the Cottage. That note passed on to Cairney the other week was a rookie error by a manager who doesn't command enough respect. A note from Lampard yes' but Parker is not up to that standard. We need an experienced manager who can advise Mawson in defence for instance. Mitrovic needs some advice when or what to do on back to goal. Knockheart runs into cul-de-sacs, he needs some advice. I could go on and on. You still need to coach players no matter how old, and there is the problem. There is a common denominator when to tell what to tell some players that need a little advice every now and again and Parker is not or cannot do it. 3rd in the table means nothing because as it stands at the moment, we wouldn't even beat any of our local rivals in a playoff. Why that is, is because all other managers have got Parkers number or they just work out how they will beat us. 9 1/2 times out of 10. they get one over us. It's not Parkers fault??? Do me a favour!!!!!!!

We are probably the best team if judged on possession , but not on number of shots or goals . I like Parker and want him to succeed , but he needs to adjust his tactics . We are too easy to work out . We have speed in the side but hardly use it . Its all so slow and the crossing is woeful . Our two main wingers are short on confidence , we need to run at defences and make them commit errors or maybe concede a penalty . Too often we play it back and then further back again allowing the opposition to reorganise . On Saturday we deserved to lose , despite the last 15 minutes and woeful ref . From what i have seen last night was same . On the plus side we are still in the mix and good to see some of the younger players at least getting squad time . WBA have been best team seen at the Cottage this year , the outfield was like 9 Patrick Viera's plus Charlie Austin , fast strong and direct all over the pitch . And best player in my view Eze of QPR , total class .

The squad on paper is the strongest in the division, the players are not being prepared properly for the games. There is no spark or cutting edge to the team, the tactics are trite and stale, the setplays are awful and the defence is an accident waiting to happen (positional errors), we don't move the ball fast enough for the type of play Parker wants to deploy. The players look demotivated because they are unsure of the coach, that is what happens. Parker is too inexperienced and the players sense this. And before anyone shouts this down I get that the players must also take responsibility. There are two games ahead of us that will determine Parker's short term fate wins against Brentford and Leeds then Parker will stay but defeats in any of those games the Board must contemplate making a change. However, they need to have a plan in place now for a suitably experienced replacement and that might be a problem that keeps Parker in place longer than he should.
Replies
Never have I seen this site more united in its condemnation of the dreadful performance in last nights match against Preston. However I still cannot see SP being replaced in the foreseeable future . It could be argued that we are third in the table, though judging by last nights effort not for much longer. The only consolation for me was that the manager wasn't caught spitting !

I appreciate the fact we are still 3rd in the league but we were strongly tipped as title contenders with Leeds at the start of the season now it is strongly held that Leeds and WBA are way ahead of us. We have fallen out of contention very quickly because pundits are realising that Parker doesn't have the experience in a league that is unforgiving. If things are left we could fall further and our position in the play offs might be lost as well. To finish outside the top 6 with this squad would be an absolute disgrace and one that the whole club should hang their heads in shame. It is bad enough to finish outside the top 2.

We are a rudderless ship at the moment and slowly sinking into the abyss and void of significant and any important factor that we ever commanded. Take Rodak out of the picture and we can rightly point fingers at most of our outfield players and say they haven't performed to their best for one reason or another. Scotty is trying his best on a sinking ship and any ideas he is coming up with just isn't working. Take of Mawson for Kebano, a little note to pass on to whoever, you name it, it just isn't working. There is no substitute for experience at this level and i mean the Championship level. The prem is a totally different type of ocean and pool of managers who command respect. Young Managers like Lampard who have just hung up their boots and are now cutting their cloth in management have earned the respect that young players look up to. Same as Scott Parker we might say but the difference is that Parker doesn't come with any glitz and glamour that the likes of Tom Cairney can be in awe of. That note passed on to Cairney in the Bristol game would have tissue paper and used to that effect. It is time to call er' time' on Scotty's little sea-side venture now and go for some real experience. Let's go for Carlos Carvalhal!!! He is young and not too old, he has a great sence of humour which will filter down through our staff old and young. O' Reilly would do hand-springs off the bench for this guy. Knockheart needs a steer in the right direction, Carlos can cover that with a 5 minute talk. Mitrovic is snookered when he recieves the ball back to a defender, Carlos can sort that little problem. Tom Cairney is at an age now where he needs to improve his game or sink into obscurity, is he worth 5 million at this moment? Carlos can tweek and fix what needs fixing in Tom Cairneys game. It would be a happy birthday for portuguse Cavaleiro, and our lobster-man would fix many chinx in his game. Mawson could be anything and i think that he doesn't know if he is good at tiddle-winks or anything at the moment. Carlos will put a arm around him and iron out any flaws to Alfie Mawson and there are many, but not impossible to sort out. All our problems at Fulham, is not rocket science and we desparately need an experienced manager. I say we go fishing for the Lobster-man and i feel it wouldn't take a whole lot of pearls to pry this jovial and likeable and talented man back to our Cottage. He is at a club by the name of Rio Ave FC, never heard of em'. It wouldn't take a whole lot of sinken treasure to get him. Come on Khan' 2 quid is so many 'Centavos' we can stretch that. GO' GO' GET CARLOS CARVALHAL NOW PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! SAVE OUR SEASON!!!!!!!!

Too many questions and no answers. Inconsistent. Win 4 loose 2. Defence is rubbish and attack lazy to be honest so either get it right or reorganise. If we don’t pick up 12 points pre 31/12 we move on and recruit a holding MF, right and left back, CB, number 10. We have best players but they switch off.

If you're saying half the outfield players need changing out I couldn't agree more. Two in January, two next summer might lessen any detrimental impact from what would be a major but necessary upheaval.

The Onomah and O'Riley conundrum. Cast your mind back DT to last season's debacle. Team selection then was just as contentious as it is today; Siri had to play if available for selection, irrespective of form, and O'Riley couldn't get a game even if Motspur Park was nuked and he was the last registered player left standing. This season certain players, past history notwithstanding, are auto-selected but simply not going to make it in this team. Mawson, Ohnomore, Arter and the Reids various have thus far failed to come up to expectations and have had little to no impact, yet there they are in the starting eleven irrespective of form. Meanwhile, the youngsters like O'Riley, DLT and the two other kiddies on the bench today are not being developed and not getting game time, which they deserve on merit. Bringing DLT on at the end of ninety minutes was cringeworthy. What impact is he supposed to make in five minutes given the wandering aimlessness of those senior pros still on the field? So, back to the conumdrum. Is Ohnomore on a "must play if available" contract a la Siri? That would be hard to imagine given his lightweight past history but what other explanation is viable? Is O'Riley still blacklisted as per last season because he has the "wrong" agent? If both scenarios are true, as logic would suggest, then we are no further forward in strategic thinking and, essentially, the end result must remain the same. The conundrum is that we profess to be seeking promotion while doing our utmost to ensure that doesn't happen.

Only post occasionally, but felt even with injuries to players, the following is worth a mention. 1. Why as a professional footballer is Kamara unable to control the ball, he has heart and pace. Professional training should have improved his ability. 2. Kebano's last two cameos put him in front of the two loanee wingers. 3.Why Onomah's lack of agility ability and effort was not substituted or even picked for the match. 4. Is Scott Parker really in charge, surely it was the stage to look at O'Reilly. Will we ever see him play? 5. How do players of the year for their respective teams go downhill at Fulham, we have another one coming in January. Why as a team for as long as I can remember, do we have a lack of fight, physically not up for it, look at Mawson tonight complaining on the floor instead of winning the ball, cost 1 point. If you want success you have to grab it, bust a gut, we would be much more forgiving if this was the case.

So upset we didn’t give our best youth player in 20 years ( yes he is that good) a chance I’ve been following him and others since they were 10 .. we have a gem who obviously loved the club ( he was making sure ball back in play anytime he could do we could press)...I’ve not seen anyone better in our current team yet they are given game after game.. sorry but it’s a disgrace Hope he stays but I know wouldn’t blame him for walking I despair

Well chosen questions Denny, but I think most of us, like you, can’t see anyone capable or prepared to answer them.

Still cannot beat the top teams, and only rarely keep a clean sheet. Two more defeats coming,to Leeds & Brentford....
Replies
I could see this result coming a mile off, as PNE hadn't scored for 4 matches and Nugent hasn't scored for 41 games, a complete set up for a Fulham give away, and so it proved. I was so confident that we would lose that I placed £50 on Preston to win, and I will play that up on Brentford on Saturday, where we are due another defeat, before our 4th defeat on the trot against Leeds at home. This must be one of the worst top 6 ever in the Championship and it proves it, by seeing us, having lost 6 matches, sitting in 3rd. We shouldn't even be in the top half of the table with this team.

Suspect SP will tell us he is proud of his players and that we were unlucky t to lose and they gave their all. Once again O’Reilly left on the bench whilst inferior players continue to underperform on the pitch. Parker is and will continue to turn Fulham into a third rste time snd it is time for him to go before it is to late.

What a dreadful advert for Championship football. Preston were poor but we never really looked like beating them. The inquest will be long and hard but complete lack of skill passion or pride. Sad night for FFC.

Just got back to hotel after watching that. how on earth can we expect ORiley to stay when this guy pick everyone ahead of him I could see Wells seeming to argue as I know the coaches want him on the pitch He has so much more than virtually everyon on that pitch and we tray him like that Still comes over claps and did you see him throwing balls back to speed the game up And he should be given a run of games not just one These guys who play crap week in week out still play I think the 300 of us who were here tonite all wanted the same...

It is hard to believe that some of these players are on Premiership wages. On the performance tonight, apart from Rodak, Reem, Mitro, Johansen and Kebano the rest should seek alternative employment,in the National League, if they are lucky and they can take Parker with them.

The Playoffs will be contested by the biggest pile of crap ever. That was a pretty pathetic performance from two supposed top teams in the division. Still when we got promoted weren’t we 17/18th in December? Chins up lads it can only get better....can’t it? :)

SP I’m afraid is inadequate and is easily shown up by experienced managers . My concern is why have got so many injured players Reed Reid Arter Now Cairney . Hope we didn’t pay much for Mawson ?! Cavielro has given up on FFC Kamara and Knockheart are greedy to sum up what a bunch . Less than mid table if we are lucky . Ps Milwall have shown us how good Bristol City are

I am not sure about our final position at the end of the season, however I think Mr Scott Parkers days are numbered.. At the most crucial point in the season FFC should be stamping their authority in this division. However, what was full of promise is not being delivered. The current evidence has been with the team for three years!.. Shambolic defending with no leadership. Keep the back line strong instills confidence into the whole team and squad. The manager has to take responsibility along with the recruitment staff. This team ,my dear FFC will never achieve the Prem with the current standard of play..

Recruitment, or the lack thereof, is the domain of one Khan Junior, to whom all complaints should be addressed.

Parker out
Replies
I have seen some really bad performances from Fulham over the years, but tonight's game must rate as one of the most awful ever. Preston were a very poor outfit, and we made them look good. I must now hold my hands up, and say Scott Parker must be shown the door and quick. We are not going up anyway this season, and may not even reach the play offs, so now is the time to give a more experienced Manager the helm, as we couldn't do any worse.

Hints, i meant Ducks. Do you remember that great Disney film back in the days? The Mighty Ducks, make a come=back from 10-0 down or some score like that. Sadly, we were 2-0 down and fail to even force a draw. The Mighty Ducks were an indoor hockey team as i may recall. Maybe Arizonan can elaborate on it?

From now until the end of December.we have the following games...BRENTFORD A ~LEEDS H ~ LUTON A STOKE H ~ I can see us getting a possible 4 pts from these matches Win LUTON draw STOKE,this will undoubtedly put us out of the playoff position, but on the bright side we may rid ourselves of Parker.

What really pisses me off is that we are underperforming; our players should be doing better than this. Parker is out of his depth and is incapable of getting the best out of our players. I wouldn’t give him any more money to spend as he will continue to fail to get the best out of the squad, Wrong man for the job

Same old story, can’t defend can’t score, the rest of our game is too predictable, it’s as if the opposition find it easy to work us out, at this rate we’ll be lucky to stay in a play off position.
