When defending corner kicks it has always surprised me FFC have everyone in the box defending . Someone small and fast who can hang on to the ball should be in the centre circle this will drag more opposition players out of the box to cover him and also put us immediately on the offensive if the ball is punted upfield . I’m thinking about Cavaleiro and Knockheart after all they are unlikely to help defensively in the air . Small point maybe but been bugging me for ages ! Coyw’s today against BC always difficult to play against .

This will be a great game to watch for the neutrals and i hope it goes our way. We are potent in attack and we will get loads of chances and i just hope we take most of them. Bristol will have their moments too for sure, and they are coming of a 5-2 win to Huddersfield, that tells us everything we need to know. I just hope that Rodak clears that ball sooner and quicker by giving it the big boot upfield because we should have the assistance of 'The Brahma Bull' AK-47 Kamara!!! All quick throws and kicks will be greatly welcomed by Mitrovic also. Contrary to what some experts think, Kamara is another ace we have and should put on the table from the start. The QPR game we had no choice but to chuck him in the deep end, and it paid dividends for Scott Parker. I was hoping Parker would play him along up with Mitrovic against Derby and i got my wish. Kamara wasn't fully loaded with bullets that night because of a slight injury and maybe a little fatigue from playing 90 minutes which he isn't used too. I think now he should be up to speed and along with Mitro to keep their defenders busy, we should have a a fruitfull and joyous night full with goals from sant's sack. Okay' we have a fragile defence and nowt we can do about that for now, so expect a few hearts in the mouth moments and maybe the odd goal or two from Bristol City. With the services of our talisman Mitrovic and the 'Brahma Bull-AK-47' minus the punch-ups and the Peoples Elbow', we should come away the winners and send Bristol City back up to Ashton Gate sharpish. COME ON YE FULHAM!!! P.S, do i think Arizonan is stirring with excitement in the nuptuals? 'Yeh' this is Fulham, and i guess he got the AK-47 shirt!!!

I see Parker is telling everyone how good BC are and how their forward are fast, sharp and dangerous. Why doesn't he just shut up and tell our team how good they are in order to boost their morale?

The Prince of Wales, Prince Edward and Prince Andrew are in damage limitation mode and partaking in a televised discussion on morals moderated by the Archbishop of Canterbury (whom God preserve). Testing the limits of royal morality, the Archbishop asked the future king whether he would condone having sex with, for instance, a fourteen year old. Absolutely not, said Charles, that's underage by the law of the land and contradictory to the teachings of the New Testamnemt. I couldn't condone such behaviour. And you Andrew, said the Archbishop, would you engage in sexual activity with a fourteen year old? As my brother said, Andrew replied, such an act is illegal and runs contra to Christian teachings and beliefs. I would not partake in such an act. Turning to Prince Andrew, the Archbishop mused as to whether the Prince himself would consider having a sexual relationship with a fourteen year old. Hmmm, said Andrew, a fourteen year old what?

I am not saying that we can keep up a pace-high tempo for 90 minutes by a long chalk, but we sure can add more injection of pace through being clever and astute. We can use our pace within our team in both halves, we can be cute. Our obvious pacier guy is Kamara who is showing his importance to this Fulham team, Kamara could figure from the start. Saying that, 90 minutes will be impossible for Kamara to keep up, and he will probably be substituted at some point. It could be a lively Derby game between us 2 teams and Bristol will have their chances for sure. I suggest we hold back Cavaliero and bring him on at half-time to raid and run amock down that left side, Cavaleiro seems more effective on 45 minutes in my opinion. If we can hold a nice lead going into the 2nd half? The services of big Mac for Johansen might be a good choice to close out this Derby game. Not sure if mad Harry is ready for this battle? We sure can do with his dogged tenacity and experience for this game...

Same old, same old, tired team selection. Answer me this Owen; why are we so boring to watch?

Arizonan' surely we were not boring against Derby? We were majestic, this is the Fulham that i like to watch and beating Derby was one of the season highlights for me. 'Boring'??? I am one of Parkers biggest critics, but if he can keep this tempo and quality play up against Bristol and Brentford and we win these, my xmas presents are complete happy days!!! I am obviously excited because Kamara who i rate is getting more game-time now, and our team is cooking with rocket fuel. Is it just me who can feel it???

Perhaps sorporific is a better word than boring. Sleep inducing other than the adrenaline rush of fear when the opposition charge forward with the ball. Parker is assured his position, and I don't have a problem with that, but all the keep-ball in the world doesn't equate to class football. All the wonderful cameo players touted as God's answer to dull football - how many goals have they scored? If you take Mitrovic out of the equation what are you left with? FA, and I don't mean the Football Association.

It takes time Arizonan' agree Cavaleiro, Knockheart, Reid, etc should be chipping in with a few more goals, we have improvement to come yet. Knockheart is frustrated at his lack of goals and we can see that judging from his expression. The more he tries, the harder it is for him. It doesn't mean that he is not effective or doing a job. The more he dribbles up the pitch is the more the clock runs down lately when we are winning. A lot of experts and pundits think we are wonderful and think we are the dogs B.ll..cks in this league. Arizonian, you must have fell off that rodeo horse and banged your head on a cows Back=s..e too many times and counted to 9 instead of 10, surely you can see some improvement? We are deemed good enough to do well and get out of this league. It is a whole different ball-game and headaches if we get to the prem. Scott Parker who is no different from Man-utd's rookie Soltsjar will need to improve on his management skills again. A step up to prem might mean a more experienced manager might be needed. Hey' Rome wasn't built in a day and where is that blighter MST? This guy might have been captured by some tree people in the Dean Forest or something. Come to think of it' since he has depaterted, you seem to have lost your mo-jo and talk more jibberish these days. You need to send for a Fulham shirt with 'AK-47' written on it and wear it at those rodeo shows you frequent. It sure would cheer you up. AK-47 Kamara is the man Arizonan' Say it a few times before bedtime and i am sure the belief will come back. COME ON FULHAM!!!!!!!

We are undoubtedly in a good position at this point in time, but thinking of the future we defensibly and mid field have an ageing squad. Odi 31, Reem 32, Marchand 30, Mc Donald 31, Arter 30. It appears we have shown interest in Flyn Downes of Ipswitch at 20 possibly if the price is right a good acquisition an of course their is our own Matt O R who like Rodek I have been singing his praises for some while, but as yet not been given any game time, bench sitting is not doing anything for his career,so in the Jan window I would like to see him loaned out for the rest of season to a champ/or lge 1 side where we would have a better chance to analyse his ability. In our run in A full back is a must, If we are unsuccessful in the Jan window, a Loan back for SESS could be the answer with the understanding he defends and is not a flying winger, Any other players who may benefit us in the Jan window come to mind.

MOR is way better than Onomah and listening to a couple of U23 coaches they sont undersatand why je is ahead of Matt...He wont go on loan as he's the kind of player who will benefit from playing up not dowm IMO..so unless a premiership club wants him on loan it wont happen... he is better than all but possibly Cairney in midfield so we either play him or he leaves..No player who goes on loan ever plays for our first team (Except keepers).. Insane that he isnt already a regular..will probably sign abroad in Jan if he doesnt see an opportunity here

Have a heart Jezza, he's only a kid and he did great for us. Some memorable games and one of his best was up at Newcastle. Sessegnon scored a brace and it could have been a hattrick. The hattrick would have been a memorable record in Fulhams history. Sessegnon might have stayed if intelligent people and someone with more insight might have organised a loan deal. Cavaleiro looks better on that side but he does not have the goal ratio that Ryan Sess does for us, and he played left-back half the time here...

The way both WBA and Leeds are playing, and the luck that they are having, it looks like we are only playing for a top 6 spot and maybe another game at Wembley. What a pity that we have thrown so many points away this season, against Barnsley, Middlesboro, Stoke, Sheffield Wed, Cardiff and even WBA. We should be riding high at the top, but it now seems that we have already blown our chances of a top 2 finish.

Why we blame the club? Get the facts correct and don’t use cheap reasoning. Don’t know if Club tried to keep Chambers but it wasn’t up to the club and the fact he started for Arsenal this season suggested they wanted him back. Who are we to compete! Who the hell willock?? Unless he played for our u15 - don’t recall him being a Fulham player! So let’s be clear who is the mug!

It is no good certain people sticking their head in the sand and using foul and abusive language when referring to Brentford but they cannot be underestimated. They have three of the fastest front players in the league and could cause our fragile defence serious problems. Let us be prepared because they can be extremely good.

Our last 3 winning games show the best and the worst side concerning our defence. This is nothing new by a long stretch and like it or not, we are long used to our situation by now. I even have sympathy towards the doomers and gloomers because i am one of them every now and again. We have a run of games that will be the ultimate test, and it will tell us everything we want to know about Fulham and how good we really are. Arking back to the QPR game, our defence was a shambles most of the first half and i could easily have wrote of Tim Ream forever, he was terrible! If that goal had gone against us from his clearance or pass-back? You would need to ask him about that one, it could have all been so different. Forward to the Derby game and Reamy looked majestic with Mawson etc. Our understanding and getting to know about each other has taken longer than we expected, but is this unusual? Perhaps not, and harking back to our quick visit to the prem, we even had less time to gel and bed in our defence. The speed and pace of the prem with the quality and know-how of the top teams, don't allow you that time you need. The dynamics from coming off the internationals and the ajust to the QPR saw the worst side of Reamy. Roll on to Derby and boy' what a difference a few days make. We still have that fragility and no doubt we always will as our history shows, but now this time around, we are finally getting to know each other. The question is now, do we need a another central defender in January?
Replies
Cameo appearances by the central defenders don't cut it. The pairing is simply not good enough. Try using Hangeland and Hughes as a yardstick and get back to me.
posted by The Arizonan - Sunday 01st December 2019, 2:22 AM

Spot on. Cameo appearances are not what’s required, it’s about consistency. Look at Hangerland, Hughes, Coleman and more, all of these had good stats, these guys haven’t achieved this yet. I feel we will definitely need additional defenders in January. The centre backs have improved over the last three games but there is still a lot work to be done. Additional players mean competition within the squad and that will improve consistency. Also defenders get a considerable amount of red and yellow cards, injuries and drops in form, it is important that we have players who can step in without too much changes to how we play.

The unit we have now i assume they are our chosen squad of 4 what works reasonably albeit not flawless. Odoi Mawson Ream and Bryan. Mawson needs the game-time and stability around him now he has gotten over his injuries. These 4 as a unit need to play and get each others game week in week out. The new guy we have is in, in January. Christie covers Odoi, Le Marchand covers Joe Byan and we have Sess. I was not a big fan of Christie's but arguably, he gets the gist when he is dropped and he looks like he improves when he is on. Steve Sess is up and learning and he will figure. That leaves Le Marchand? Do we get rid? Our main 4 can and should be capable of building up a good run of games unbeaten. It will be impossible not to concede within this squad and my point is why worry about details like that. Scott Parker is going with the theory and tactics which clearly is risky but it brings results. Those days of iron-clad stone-wall defences are long gone. Rodak instils more confidence in our shaky defence much more than Betonelli which will heap more confiidence our our chosen first team unit. I am having less heart in my mouth moments and i am resign to the fact that we will concede goals every now and again. Just like a mole on a part of your body you have to get used too, we should get used to our flaws too. Keep-ball and going forward is a big part of our defence...

Sorry Owen, don’t worry about us conceding? How would you feel if we didn’t get up because of goals conceded? Every successful club or manager builds their teams from the back.

Arizonan is 100% right. If we go up, we will need an entirely new back 4 to stay up. This group of Ream, Mawson, Odoi, Bryan are all solid subs in the Prem. They can fill in for injuries, they can play in the Carabao and FA Cups. But that’s it. We get promoted, we sell Christie and Le Marchand and loan out Steven Sess, and BUY proven Premier League players. Freddo and Targett for starters?). No more Ligue 1 mercenaries!
posted by Drago (Guest) - Monday 02nd December 2019, 7:11 PM

Drago' remember what happened when we brought in a load of players back in the prem? It didn't work mate, and we need to be careful to not upset the balance too much again. An entirely new back 4 might not work out that well? I might be wrong but i have a theory that the likes of Alfie Mawson needs security and stability. Mawson is a slow burner, and he is just about getting used to everyone around him now. Ream is Ream and he is ageing, but for now he is okay. Our big cunumdrum at Fulham in this team is we have left and right defenders who like to go forward which is the modern way. Unfortunately, Bryan and Odoi will always have mistakes in them and we need to accept that. To compare them to the likes of Hangerland etc is pointless because hands down they lose out in their defensive duties. Scott Parker did say something that makes sense, and that was to keep hold of the ball much more than the opposition and wear down the opposition is a big part of our defending. Not sure his exact words but you get the gist. We need to be careful, especially in January. Bring in too many players to cover whoever might upset the apple-cart. If we decide that the likes of Christie is not good enough, we need to ship him out in January. Thats my thoughts on this very interesting subject. Sure beats talking about Bristol and Brentford...
posted by OWEN (Guest) - Monday 02nd December 2019, 7:55 PM

What balance would that be? We are chaotic at the back for most of every game, odd cameo apperanaces apart. Ream does not command the center, neither does Mawson, who hasn't made the hoped for impact. The full backs have their problems but goals are scored from the center and the central pair are prone to ball watching and too slow to react when the ball is behind them. They repeatedly let opposition players get between them and the ball and lose more headed challenges than they win. Simply not good enough. Change the central pair in January and the full backs in the summer and try and find a balance that creates confidence in the midfield going forward. This is hardly a new or unexpected problem; watch last year's videos for evidence of that.

Arizonan' we will never be the best defensively and every team knows that now. I was Parkers biggest critic and i might be so again if things go badly after these 6 games. Maybe i am hoping and wanting us to find a balance too much? Maybe that balance was being shown playing against Derby? We will never be perfect and we will always have that defensive flaw, and maybe Parker has found that balance which is a combination of quick-tempo attack and keep ball? Knowing that the more we keep it, the opposition is limited. Okay this is nothing new and it sounds almost laughable, but throw into the mix Bobby Reid from the start and one AK-47, which might add to the balance we are trying to work out. I would like your thoughts on Kamara now he has found his feet. Did it surprise you when Kamara turned up at QPR with 2 goals and MOTM? Again Derby did not know who to mark on either side. Alfie Mawson will be awesome, he just needed a lot more time with too many injuries.

Our under 18 team drew 2 - 2 away to Chelsea at their ground in Cobham. We led twice, and if it was not for a fine performance by their keeper the spoils would have been ours. If any fans can make the home games at MP, one can experience what a well drilled and talented side we have,(before we loose them on a free)

I thought that last night, we almost proved that we are a good side, by winning ugly. Although at times we played some pretty decent football, there were other times, when we had to scrap for possession, and the defence, although not great by anyone's standards were prepared to throw their bodies in front of anything, which I thought was good news. Rodak is a vast improvement on Betts, and it's a pity that he didn't play in some of the earlier games, as we would probably have had a few more points. I thought that last night's referee had a really good game, taking no nonsense from either side, and ignored any fake fouls. It was good to see Notts Forest fail to win today, which just shows how hard it is to win games in the Championship. How on earth did will lose points away to Stoke, and at home to Hull, I do hope that these dropped points don't cost us promotion come May.

Firstly, a gutsy win. Mitro as usual superb; hail Rodak 22 years old ffs and getting better each game, what I like is the fact he's giving the lads in front of him confidence which is essential in a keeper. As for Ononmah, I kept saying to myself 'oh no' every time he got the ball, not sure if the lad is good enough at this level. Denis O class act. Alfie getting more assured as time goes on. Ream looking more like his old self, Cav had a teasing game with the opposition as usual, Stefan good touches but inconsistent and nees to play well for 90 mins. AK bit wild, but could blend well with Mitro after time. All in all a good night at the office. One final point where the feck did 5 minutes added time come from (which actually became 5 mins and 30 seconds)? I've made this point time and time again which is... why don't FIFA adopt Rugby rules as regards playing to the clock, in other words come 90 mins the hooter goes and the game ends. Fouls and injuries could be dealt with by having time outs (ie. the clock is stopped) meaning no time is lost. Far too bloody logical it strikes me.

Think that’s about right MW. This is a very good squad with options. Any team has weaknesses but all players are improving week by week, even Christie, who I haven’t always rated too highly, looks a good late substitution. I know people are still calling for new signings but I think this squad is solid enough and wouldn’t want to disrupt the mix too much and of course Hector will be eligible after Christmas. I would like to just wave the flag for Denis Odoi, I think he has been great in recent matches and his performances often go under the radar. Let’s hope he can keep the rushes of blood to a minimum:))

Spot on Mortlake as for Odoi some what under rated always gives 100 per cent can fill in all over the back every club needs one and does a lot round the club

Onomah is definitely not good enough. His passing is garbage, he’s can’t dribble by anyone, but he’s also not a grafter like a Sidwell. We scored two goals playing 10 v 11. He was lucky the ball was passed to him which led to Mitro’s second. Did you see the celebration? A non-participant. If he’s starting against the better teams (the four match run we have coming up), he will get exposed. Hope Arter is back by then, but KMac would be an improvement, even if he is slower.

AK, a bit wild, but could well blend in?????? On the contrary MW, AK-47's dynamic debut is a large part of the reason for our change in fortunes. You make it sound as if Kamara is a bit-part and a little flicker or a minor influence on this team. His touch ia a tad heavy for a big guy, but it works some-how. Kamara's pace ,touches and deft flicks off the ball is a huge difference in our offence MW, and yes give credit to all at Fulham, it is a team game after-all said. Kamara's contribution in the Cardiff game was minimal i agree but still his attempt which ricocheted off the cross-bar fell into Mitro's path. I needed to point that detail out because in my opinion this guy will go on to make records for the most assists at Fulham. Sooner or later these sky pundits will slow down the footage from so many games and say what i have just pointed out. I think i am pretty good at pointing stuff like this out and then again sometimes i get it wrong, but no big deal on my part. Dented egoes last 1 day or 2...

Kamara will need to not only keep up his on field performances but carry on with his new, well received attitude. It doesn’t mean that every time someone posts something about him that they are wrong. Kamara was a bit wild, we just don’t want him to let the team and more importantly himself down. I love a Maverick type player in the side but with Maverick comes craziness. We have had a few of them over the years.

I hope he keeps up his good work on the field too. I don't know what that fight was all about but it is in the past now. Harking back to the penalty, if i had won it, i would have wanted to take it too. I probably would have missed it also. I saw nothing wrong with that incident myself. I think he scored one a week before? and coming off the dynamics from that game he thought he had the bottle to take it. Saying that, i would hope he leaves those decisions to Mitrovic next time around. Kamara is a lot more raw than wild i would say. I have always said about him that with coaching, he would get better and the proof is in the pudding. How many players do we see week in and week out that don't show improvement? 5 million when he came here, he could be much more than that. I would not want to move him on now, he could be worth millions if he keeps doing what he is doing...

The Parker out brigade as some call it always wanted him to succeed he is halfway through putting a run together that might convince he is getting things together. Tactically things have improved but we still have much to improve on, set plays, defensive positioning and we still move the ball too slowly. The upturn in form coincides with Johansen and Reams return to form, they look the same players as promotion season run in. Rodak has been a big positive and saved us yesterday from a probable defeat. Let’s keep level headed and get through this next run of games unbeaten and then we can really start to believe Parker is learning his trade. As Pep Guardiola once stated the coach is nothing without good players and we have the best squad in this division.

You’re not suggesting that Ream and Johansen’s improvement in form is the reason for the teams all round improvement, are you? Or just saying their form has improved as a direct result of the team improving, if the latter that is true of everyone, surely. I would suggest far great improvements have been seen from, notably Odoi, Rodak, Cairney amongst others, definitely ahead of Johansen, who still has a lot to do to get back to his best.

Against Derby, i think we moved the ball round crisp and perfect. certainly a lot quicker than the QPR game. It is not always possible to move it around like we did at Derby because some teams will come on the front foot quicker than us. We then have to soak up pressure and cope with these problems a lot better than we have done in the past. These coming and upward games will most likely be like the QPR game and we have just got to learn to soak up the pressure and find our rhythm into the game. My take on Johansen is i think he is coming back to his best, and now he only needs to put over a few of his specials in free kick situations. When was the last time we scored from a free-kick? I think Carvallio was the last one to do so. For me, football is about dynamics and timing. For instance, QPR after the internationals didn't suit Ream and he blagged it for part of that game. The Mitrovic one game ban was a blessing in disguise, and it proves so with him back to his best against Derby.Johansen needs games galore to show his best and so does the big man Mac Donald. Unfortunately, he will not get the time he needs unless we have big injuries.

Great win and great run which we need to keep going now, but we need our Harry back pronto. There is no substitute for experience and Josh Onomah is just not ready for this Fulham team at this moment in time. We need our Harry back. Harry may be mad as a hatter but he has that steel and guts that we need in a crisis. We have a nice balance in midfield with the steady Johansen and the industrious Cairney etc, but we need someone more experienced to do the dirty work in between defence and midfield and that is Arter. Bobby Reid is a big miss, especially tonight at Cardiff. We didn't have that same urgency and momentum as in the Derby game, and Bobby is the key to that. A difficult away game so far is always difficult but we got the result. Kamara didn't do a lot but he did enough by being involved with Mitro's first goal. There is a reason why those lung-bursting runs can't be produced every week so far, and i think him and Reidy are not used to 90 minutes but they will get there. I did not think he would make the game because he went down with cramp in the Derby game but great that he did. Bobby Reid will get used to 90 minutes with more game-time when he is fit again, but all good stuff. Bring on Bristol City. If we can beat our local rivals, and pick up points away at preston and Brentford, we will be ready for a top table 1 and 2 clash against Leeds at the Cottage. How cool is that!!!

Reid couldn't play because Cardiff is his parent club! Now I'm sure there's something not quite right there. Which match were you watching?

Chas, Owen made a mistake when he said Bobby Reid Is a big miss especially tonight against Cardiff. He later said Bobby Reid will get used to 90 minutes with more game time when he is fit again. We all know that he is a Cardiff City player, but that wasn't anything to do with why he didn't play, and nobody except you mentioned it. So I suggest that you read peoples posts properly before criticizing.

GREAT WIN by Fulham this evening!..four wins in a row and within 2 points off automatic promotion. Liking the way we’re digging/grinding out wins too showing more grit/determination/aggression than previously... perhaps being influenced by Mitro-man who always makes his presence felt and just can’t stop scoring at the mo! Challenging games coming up but good to see more belief growing into the team and as previous years getting stronger as season progresses. Keep up the good work guys ...COYW!

A great win, but it was an exciting white knuckle ride from start to finish. Swansea had so many chances to score, but they didn't have a Rodak, or Mitro. I admire SP for sticking to his crossfield passing game, even though we were giving so much space to their wide players. Rodak has shown that he must be our number one. And Onamah has shown that he is not good enough yet to start.

Soo long as we keep in contention around the top 3, there is no danger of Mitrovic leaving. He is well aware of our position and like he says, take it one game at a time. The worry will come if we have a serious bad spell and drop down the table at a crucial time. We must keep the momentum now, promotion is the plan.

Thank god for Rodak, otherwise the score at half time could be 2-3, he’s pulled off some fantastic saves, I realise we are 2 up but our defence are all over the place, hopefully Swansea will continue to find Rodak impassable.
Replies
That’s what he’s there for. Not sure your assessment is correct. Swansea have a very good attack and if they could have had 3 then we could have had 5. That’s football they’re 2 down and so far we have a clean sheet. Long may it continue.

I want us to keep Dennis Odoi on the right hand side. Not the best defender but he just flows with his runs. Odoi is very talented and creates space on the turn of a sixpence which makes more assists. I am okay with Christie as cover for now also because i can see Scotty's way and route of play now. Mawson and Ream are looking better together now and Joe Bryan is settling down. Happy to say this, but who do we drop to accommodate a new defender? Swansea away was always going to be tough, but Rodak who you shouted up for Kunye' was a very inspired suggestion and you were 100% right, he is better than Bettonelli. Do you think Parker reads this forum? They should be paying us, intelligent guys, a little something don't you think?

Living near MP i have watched many training sessions, and although no coach one can see the natural talented players, and Rodek stood out a mile wit his positional and distribution ability, as does STANSFIELD & especially Matt O*REILLY, although on the bench recently he should sooner than later be given some game time.

Emery has a decent pedigree and cv with 5 titles with PSG and 3 with Sevilla which is quite impressive to say the least. They say he has a slight problem getting over his instructions to the players, his dialect is a little quick looking at his interviews on sky and even i can't catch half of what he says. Slavisa was even worse than Emery in his dialect but at the end of the day, this is a results business and there will be a few parting of the ways before and after this xmas. It will be a race for who gets who in with these prem boys, and first in the que is Ponch who is jobless. Brendon Rodgers will be popular but he might have a lock and key contract right now and considering Leicesters position in the league, would he, could he? Everton will join the merry-go-round sooner or later and our little neighbours Watford look in danger of the drop and maybe another change too. Scott Parker' 'keep playing AK-47, he might just be your get out of jail card, also Bobby Reid...

I have always wanted a "settled team" players with a commitment to the cause. But I have to accept the truth that other clubs currently have as many if not more loan players than us and this certainly includes West Bromwich Albion and Nottingham Forest, so if we do get promotion are we in for another diabolical season next year 2020/21? What's your take on the situation?

We don't have any loan players Rich, they're all committed under contract. We do have a right to return them after the season ends if we're not convinced as to their worth. I would say we're in a good position in that regard. No more Targetts.

A word of caution - Knockaert, Cavaleiro, Decordova-Reid, Reed and Arter are all on loan. From what I've seen, these are all players that we want permanently going forward. I just hope we put up a fight to sign these players as their loan periods come towards an end. Hopefully we've learned from previous mistakes. Targett & Kallas come to mind.
Replies
As I understand it Den all will convert from loan to permanent at the club's discretion for an amount previously agreed. In other words, we get to keep them if we want them. If we don't want them they get returned to their parent club. Consider them as being on a one season trial.

This has been my concern all season with appointment of Parker. We have put together a very ambitious talented squad for the season. Likely making promises that we will go straight back up with all clauses about permanent moves dependent on that. If we do not go straight back up many of these players will leave and we will be building a 4th squad in 5 years. I think if we had a manger with experience, any managerial experience whatsoever (not an unreasonable quality to expect from your manager), we would be running away with the league. We are incredibly fortunate that everyone around us has also dropped 20+ points in the first half of the season - our league position is flattering to say the least. But, good few results we have had so let’s hope we are 3 wins into a 30 game unbeaten run.

You are expressing the same concerns like i do Ashley. Fulham fans need to realise that if promotion fails, we are in deep doo-doo concerning loan players and i think we can put Mitrovic into the mix here. Management is all about timing for me and the fixtures from now on and after xmas is important to Parkers stay or get rid in my opinion. It sounds cold-blooded but needs must. If we get the right results and we are in contention, then we must roll with Parker. They say experience counts in all this so if needs be, we must bring in someone to finish the job or try too. I also think that the Khans plans rest on a strong promotion back to the prem so they will have the last word on this debate...

Dave where do you watch matches, do they show you replays after a goal? Best you don’t go to a live match then, no commentary and no replays. Dave' not too sure about the ins and outs how sky show games, but i think they only show replays on the featured games on the night. I am guessing that games through the red button will have less features and no adverts etc. There will be a pause and a red screen at half-time and they only click on for 2nd half. Courtesy of the red button. Not sure if the Swansea game is the featured on Friday? There should be a better coverage if featured...

This is my only remaining criticism of Parker. Every time Onomah has been on the pitch, he looks hesitant with the ball, like he’s never played with this team before. With all the injuries, I’d rather see KMac starting. He reads the game much better, moves the ball quicker. If Arter and Reed and Reid are all injured, it feels like his chance. Also, I hope Neeskens gets time on Friday, he’s gotta be as desperate as AK47 was, and my bet is he does well.

Ouch, that is not an accurate assessment of Leeds and West Bromwich Albion. I speak as a Fulham supporter, both of these teams are solid and will be in the top 4 places at the end of the season. Late goals often mean determination by the team to keep pressing.

Talking of stoppage time. Good story concerning Sir Alex Ferguson, when asking how much stopage time is there, the official replied " how much would you like?

The second son Gat, the one with a speech defect, had an airport named after him. Quite a family.
