Player description
The towering centre-back enjoyed a fine first season at Fulham, having joined the Club in the summer of 2011 from Conference side Darlington.

Excelling at the heart of the Development Squad's defence, his form throughout the course of the 2011/12 campaign made him one of the first names on the team sheet. While the likes of Marcello Trotta and Alex Kacaniklic turned heads further forward, Burn was our defensive rock.

Comfortable on the ball and a threat from set-pieces, the player is more than just an accomplished stopper. With a mature reading of play and excellent distribution, comparisons have already been made with Brede Hangeland.

In working his way up from non-league, and in sharing a variety of on-field attributes, comparisons with Chris Smalling are perhaps more fitting. The Club are certainly hopeful that the player can follow a similar path. As a result of his excellent leadership skills, he has led the Under-21s out as captain on numerous occasions.

On Tuesday 25th September 2012, Dan went on a short-term Youth Loan to npower League One side Yeovil Town. This deal was later extended until 20th November, and then once again until 7th January 2013.

On 8th January, his loan deal with the Glovers was extended until the end of the League One season. He went on to play an integral role as they reached the Play-Off Final, with Burn scoring what proved to be the winner at Wembley as Yeovil defeated Brentford 2-1 to clinch promotion to the Championship.

Burn's performances did not go unnoticed and on 3rd July 2013, he was rewarded with a new two-year contract at Fulham, with the option of a further 12 months - a deal that potentially keeps the centre-back at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2016.

On the same day, it was announced that Burn would be joining up with former Fulham Captain Lee Clark at Birmingham City, joining the Midlands club on a season-long loan deal. However, the Whites recalled the towering starlet from his loan in early January 2014.

On the 8th May 2016, Burn announced on Twitter: "I played my last game for Fulham yesterday, had five great years there and met some amazing people.

"I wish all the lads, the club and the staff all the very best in whatever they do. Thanks for the memories."

Burn, who joined from Darlington in 2011 and had loan spells at Yeovil and Birmingham, was the subject of a move from Sheffield United in the January transfer window that was rejected by Fulham.
