Fulham defender Steven Sessegnon faces a World Cup quarter final this afternoon with England U17s - and Slavisa Jokanovic believes it is a great experience for a man who is the future of Fulham .

The 17-year-old has started the past two games in India, the 4-0 win over Iraq and the last 16 penalty victory over Japan, helping the Young Lions keep two clean sheets in the process.

While the first team are playing at Aston Villa, England will be facing the USA in the quarter finals of the World Cup in Delhi, knowing another clean sheet will have them that one step closer to a semi-final place.

The club are keeping an eye on Sessegnon's progress out in India, and Jokanovic is looking forward to working with the youngster when he returns from what he has billed as a great experience.

He said: "This is good for him, to play for England and play the games - it's great experience for a young player to participate in this kind of tournament.

"At the end, he is the future of this club and we are going to follow what he is doing and work with him when he returns to us."
