Fulham boss Kit Symons is hoping the extra day's rest will be the vital factor that gets his side over the line against Wolves tomorrow night in the third round, FA Cup replay.

Whites lost three on the bounce at Cardiff on Saturday, also the Whites third game without a goal, and even though Kenny Jackett's men beat Blackburn 1-0 away yesterday, the men in old gold only have 48 hours to recover.

The dubious prize awaiting the winners is a trip to Premier League Sunderland in the next round, 560 miles there and back for the Fulham faithful on January 24, but Symons is looking forward to it providing all goes well at Molineux.

"It'll be a good game if we can hopefully get past Wolves," the manager added.

However, the gaffer admitted there could be a raft of changes for the Cup replay after the first game finished 0-0, and not just because of the 1-0 defeat in south Wales.

"We'll monitor the players' (recovery) carefully, and put out our best team. But this game could be different from the first because of the Saturday game we've just played.

"Still, Wolves played Blackburn on Sunday, so they will get a day less rest than us."

Emerson Hyndman is away with the USA, U20 squad. Lasse Vigen Christensen is recovering from a grade one hamstring strain, while returning loanees Ryan Tunnicliffe and Alex Kacaniklic are ineligible to go with long-term injuries for Adam Taggart, Tim Hoogland and Fernando Amorebieta.
