Premier weekend game details 13:15.09.2003

last updated Saturday 13th September 2003, 8:40 PM
Fulham have to travel away again this weekend making it just one home game in 4 outings in the Premiership so far this season. On Sunday they play away at Birmingham City who rank along side Everton in recent history as one of the squads most likely to try and rough up the opposition.

On The Cottagers last visit to St Andrews, 17/11/2002, both Rufus Brevett and Steve Marlet were sent off, Rufus was sent packing for stopping a certain goal with his hand and Steve for kicking Savage up the bum for fouling him. On the return trip to London Birmingham received 7 yellows and one red after fouling Fulham players 26 times. Should be fun on Sunday. Maik Taylor could be between the posts for The Brummies but The Horse has been sold to Wigan for £1m, much to his surprise it seems.

Elsewhere on Saturday Arsenal scraped a lucky draw with surprise team Pompey while Man U's van Nistelrooy got both in their 2-0 away win over 10 men Charlton. Re-incarnated Mr Hoddle and his unhappy bunch of urchins got walloped 4-2 on their visit to Fulham Broadway. Of course Chelsea won on merit not like Fulham's lucky 3-0 thrashing of Spurs last week.

The mighty Wolves got beaten again and are bottom of the table with just one point from their first 5 games having scored one goal and conceeded 12 !! Their only concolation is that the so called next England manager has managed to get Middlesborough into a similar position.

We ended Saturday in 9th place in the Premiership, if we win on Sunday we could go 5th, if we lose we could go 11th. COME ON YOU WHITES!!

On Sunday afternoon Fulham play Birmingham at St Andrews in Birmingham.
Coleman's Fulham are planning to be a tough away squad this season.

The Fulhamweb prediction is for a tough fighting 0-0 draw in front of 29400 fans.
