New Year Scores and Stats

last updated Tuesday 02nd January 2001, 10:00 PM

Fulham Football Club are the top club in the Nationwide league.

Well it looked like a win before the match but it sounded as if Stockport wanted the win more than we did. They get two softish goals we hit the woodwork twice, Louis Saha is not able to find the back of the net and Bazza Hayles goes off injured. Not a happy day for the Mighty Whites and it leaves us just seven points clear of second placed Bolton with two games in hand!!!!

The Fulhamweb prediction for this match was 4-1 to the Cottagers with a crowd of 7750 which was somewhat wide of the mark. We must have lost sight of the ball for a moment.

Say ... We are top of Division One after a half of the campaign, have lost only two game, have the best goal difference in British football and have the leading scorer in the Premier and Nationwide leagues.
