Fulham flop Steve Marlet is determined not to go back to West London when his loan spell with Marseille expires.

Marlet is on a season-long loan at Stade Velodrome after proving a costly misfit during his two-year stint with Premiership outfit Fulham.

The 29-year-old was signed for £11.5 million by former manager Jean Tigana but he failed to justify his tag as the club's record signing.

His departure has certainly not affected Fulham with rookie boss Chris Coleman performing a sterling job in keeping his side in the top half of the table.

But Marlet has accused Coleman and his backroom staff of making his life a misery during the final stages of his Loftus Road stay.

The French international also slammed the club's lack of ambition and revealed he does not wish to return despite Coleman breathing fresh life into the team.

"The management and coaching staff made it hell for me at Fulham and I don't know if I will go back," Marlet told the News of the World.

"They may be doing well but I can't see how anything worse can ever happen to me.

"The club have no ambition, even though I was told they had when I signed."
