Key players to miss Tranmere clash

last updated Sunday 02nd January 2000, 8:58 AM
Paul Bracewell will be without key players for Monday's home clash with Tranmere including Chris Coleman, Geoff Horsfield and Karl-Heinz Riedle.

And the Fulham boss will also be without the services of midfielder Sean Davis for the Cottagers first game of the new millennium.

Horsfield was absent for the defeat at Sheffield United with a knee injury, and with the hitman set to miss the Rovers match, Barry Hayles is likely to again feature in the starting line-up.

Kevin Ball could also be brought into the first team reckoning, as Fulham look to get their League campaign back on track after a series of disappointing results.

The Cottagers may be able to take advantage of the fact that Tranmere very much have one eye on their Worthington Cup semi-final date with Bolton.

Rovers boss John Aldridge may continue to keep defender Alan Morgan and striker David Kelly away from the action as both are only a booking away from missing out on the semi-final. And Aldridge is unlikely to want to risk the duo joining Nick Henry and Jason Koumas on the sidelines for the Cup clash.
