Fulham Coach Slavisa Jokanovic is not concerning himself with how our Play-Off contenders are faring, preferring to focus solely on Fulham’s fortunes.

The final run of fixtures concludes at Hillsborough against the side currently occupying sixth spot, but Jokanovic is purely concentrating on making sure the Whites are still in contention by that point.

“I only worry about us,” he stated. “The possibility exists that we’re going to need three points in the last game away against Sheffield Wednesday.

“For us it’s very important that we have an option at the last moment. It could be a very important historical game for us to try and put ourselves in the top-six at the last moment, but there are seven games before Sheffield Wednesday.

“In this crucial part of the Championship many things happen and I believe we are ready to show our best performance. We are mentally ready to push until the last minute.

“All the games are crucial. Now immediately what is in front of us is crucial, and after this is the Derby game.

It’s eight finals and we have to be ready for all the games.”

Tom Cairney returned to Motspur Park at the beginning of the week as a full Scotland international, and his Head Coach was pleased to see him get international recognition.

“We’re happy for him to get his first cap,” he said. “I watched the game that he participated in and he played very well. This is good news for him.

“All of us want to improve and this is a good step forward for Tom Cairney. It’s positive news if you get the chance to defend your country, and you have to be proud.”
