Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has challenged his Fulham side to become a force at home once again, ahead of Saturday’s meeting with high-flying Huddersfield Town.

Three of the Whites four league wins in 2016/17 have come on our travels, and Jokanovic wants to see a greater resilience in SW6.

“We didn’t mark our territory at home,” he stated in his pre-match press conference. “We need to be more aggressive, we still need to take more risks in the beginning of the game, be more brave.

“Many times we are waiting to see what’s going to happen, and what happened was negative things, so we have to push harder. We have to be braver.

“If we want to mark our territory at Craven Cottage we have to start at the beginning, not wait for some kind of reaction.

“We have a great atmosphere in our stadium. The supporters have pushed us from the Newcastle game to the last game, we cannot complain about the atmosphere in the stadium.

“We tried to create some kind of intensity, and in this way we’ve made some mistakes, and paid a very expensive price. But we have to push in a similar way and try to make less mistakes, try to improve our play, and try to be stronger at home.”

An impressive return to action following the international break saw Fulham claim four points against Barnsley and Norwich City, but a defensive error gave Aston Villa a late 1-0 win last time out.

“I believe we are creating an identity of what we want to do,” Jokanovic explained. “It’s true, we have made some mistakes, we haven’t won enough games.

“We’re working very well but first of all we need to concentrate more in some moments, we need to avoid the kind of situations where we’re making mistakes.

“We didn’t mix our game up enough, and sometimes our possession of the ball doesn’t lead to us creating enough. We need to find a balance between many things and make better decisions depending on the different moments in the game.”

A positive going into Saturday’s match is the potential return of Tomas Kalas, with Jokanovic revealing: “My team is completely fit, I don’t have any injured players. I have 22 players who have been working all week without any problems.”
