Wycombe boss Peter Taylor has made his first signing of the January transfer window in the shape of Fulham defender TJ Moncur.

The 21-year-old defender has joined the Wanderers on a free transfer with his contract at the club running until 30th June 2010.

Wanderers boss Peter Taylor said "TJ is someone that I've been tracking for a while and I nearly signed him at the beginning of the season.

"He is a promising young player and he's been given an opportunity to play first team football. It's up to him to keep improving.

"Finally I would also like to thank Roy Hodgson for allowing a promising young player to leave Fulham."

Moments after completing his move TJ said: "I'm really excited to be joining the Club. Peter Taylor is a very good manager and he has a vast amount of experience. It was very flattering that he wanted to sign me."

TJ has been on loan at fellow League Two club Bradford City this season, where he made 18 appearances, with one of those coming in the Bantams' 1-0 defeat at the hands of the Wanderers in November at Adams Park.

The defender played for Premiership giants Arsenal before he joined Fulham's Academy at the age of 16, where he worked under the guidance of Billy McKinlay for three years.

Moncur, who can play both right-back and centre-back, has enjoyed two loan spells with Bradord City, the first starting in the January of 2008, where he played seven games, before the second deal commenced at the beginning of the current campaign.

Fulham FC stated:

The Club can confirm that Fulham Academy graduate TJ Moncur has joined Wycombe Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.

The defender enjoyed a successful loan spell with Bradford City last season and made an appearance for Fulham in Dougie Freedman's Testimonial game at Selhurst Park ahead of the 08/09 season.

Moncur teamed up with the Bantams once again at the start of the season before sealing a permanent move to League Two leaders Wycombe Wanderers.

The Club would like to wish TJ every luck for the future with Wycombe.
