Steve Sidwell is pushing to make his Fulham debut.

The midfielder was an unused substitute at Wigan last weekend following his switch from Aston Villa and now has a full week of training under his belt.

Boss Mark Hughes has no new injuries but is still without Bobby Zamora (leg), Philippe Senderos (Achilles) and Matthew Briggs (calf), while Mark Schwarzer is on Asian Cup duty with Australia.

New signing John Carew goes straight into the squad to play Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday after completing the paperwork on his loan move from Aston Villa in time.

The Norway international may have to settle for a place on the bench as he has made only two appearances in the last two months.

Manager Tony Pulis will restore his strongest line-up, although forward Jon Walters pressed his claims for retention with both goals in the midweek FA Cup victory over Cardiff in which 10 first-teamers were rested.

Defender Danny Higginbotham came off with a hamstring strain in midweek and is unlikely to recover in time to be included in the squad.
