Fulham v Sunderland Preview

last updated Friday 04th December 2009, 12:40 AM
Fulham meet Sunderland in a Premiership game at the Cottage on Sunday 6th Dec at 15.00 in a must win game.

After Sunderland we play away at Burnley and Basle and at home to Man Utd and Tottenham followed by an away game at Chelsea, a tough group of games.

There have been four Premiership meetings between the two sides at Craven Cottage and one during the exile at Loftus Road. Of those game the Mighty Whites have won 3, drawn 1 and lost once (in April 2008)

At the moment The Blackcats are 8th in the Premiership with 20 points from 14 games while the Fulham are 10th with 19 points from 14 games.

If Fulham win they could go 8th while if they lose they could drop to 14th.

Sunderland are keen to score early as according to the stats they have the highest number of goals in the first 15 mins of any Premiership team so Fulham will need to be ready from the first moment of the game.

However as Sunderland have lost 5 out of seven away games and Fulham have won 4 out of seven home game the Whites should be favourites for the thre points
