Fulham Res 2 Bristol City Res 0

last updated Wednesday 17th January 2001, 5:24 PM
A young Fulham reserve team defeated Bristol City 2-0 at Motspur Park on Wednesday afternoon.

First half goals from Luke Cornwall (8) and Sam Keevil (41) securing the Whites 5th consecutive victory.*

Bristol City fielded Liam Rosenior, son of former Fulham player Leroy, and Tom Jordan, son of former Manchester United star Joe.

An entertaining first half saw Fulham retain most of the possession and with a 2-0 half time lead it looked likely that Steve Kean's side would be more than capable of adding to the scoreline in the second period.

However the match deteriorated into a bad tempered affair which saw Hutchinson booked and Hudson replaced after a bad tackle from Rosenior.

Fulham team: Thompson, Hudson (Rehman), McAnespie, Knight, Hutchinson, Hayward (capt), Upsher (Buari), Keevil, Hammond (Willock), Cornwall, Shevel.

Subs: (not used) Bittner, McCracken.

*Includes friendly win over Barnet
