Fulham striker Chris Martin insisted that he always believed that both his and Fulham's form would turn around after the 2-2 draw against Norwich on Tuesday night.

The Whites found themselves trailing by two goals at the interval thanks to a double by midfielder Graham Dorrans, who converted both penalties conceded by Scott Malone .

Slavisa Jokanovic's men rallied after the break, with Stefan Johansen deflecting home Martin's effort, before the Scotland international came back to haunt his former club with an equalising goal.

The 27-year-old forward struggled in his first six weeks with the Whites , having signed on loan from Derby at the end of August.

He missed a series of chances - culminating in an open goal miss in the 2-1 defeat to rivals QPR on October 1 - but bagged his first Fulham goal with a header against Barnsley on the weekend.

But the experienced Championship striker insists it was just a matter of confidence.

"They were obviously different opportunities [his goal against Norwich and miss against Rangers]. Getting off the mark on Saturday, it does breed that confidence," he said.

"The win [4-2 at Barnsley] as well, that bred confidence throughout the whole team . We showed that, especially in our second half performance.

"We're playing some really good stuff at the moment. I was always confidence that the form would turn around - that's what i told people.

"I was away on international duty, I was asked a few questions, I said the form would turn around - we've been playing well enough for it to. We just weren't quite getting the results.

"Four points over the last two games as well, it's the least we've deserved."
