Fulham manager Martin Jol hopes Fulham fans will see the best of Bryan Ruiz this season after his return from injury.
The Costa Rican star scored just two goals in 30 appearances for the Whites since his £10million move from FC Twente last summer before a broken foot ended his campaign early.
But the 26-year-old is back to full fitness and capped a man-of-the-match display with a stunning free-kick in this afternoon's 3-0 pre-season friendly win at Wycombe.
And boss Jol believes Ruiz is ready to show what he can do.
He said: "It was good to see Bryan Ruiz back to full fitness. He showed some very good touches and I thought he was the best man on the pitch.
"I hope [he will have more impact this season]. He's a terrific player so hopefully he can show our fans now.
"He needed six months [to get used to the Premier League] and I thought over the last few months after that he was good, then he had a horrific injury and was out for four or five months.
"I was very happy to see him back."
