FULHAM
8th in Premiership
with 13 points
Position achievable
after MatchDay 10:
Highest xth - Lowest xth
- FULHAM entertain fellow mid-table Wigan in their 200th Premier League fixture and 100th on home turf. The hosts have lost just twice so far in this League season. The visitors have won twice.
- Chris Coleman's side gained a deserved point at unbeaten Aston Villa last weekend. It's was the fourth match in which they had picked up something from a losing position. Indeed with one win and three draws, effectively six points, gained from matches in which they were trailing, it makes the Cottagers the most resilient side in the top League.
- The other previous Premiership meetings between these clubs were last season and resulted in 1-0 wins for the clubs playing at home.

WIGAN
15th in Premiership
with 8 points
Position achievable
after MatchDay 10:
Highest xth - Lowest xth
- WIGAN ATHLETIC may have been finding life considerably harder in the top flight this time around than in their rookie season, being three places and three points above the bottom three. But they head south on the back of a magnificent 4-0 home win over Manchester City - their first maximum in six outings.
- Paul Jewell's men have scored and conceded goals in equal measure so far this term, and are averaging a point a game. They're hoping to secure back-to-back wins for the first time in 16 Premiership engagements.
- The Latics' only ever League victory on Fulham turf was 1-2 in the old Third Division on 18 September 1990.

- Won one of the last seven in all competitions.
- Failed to win five of the last six Premiership matches.
- Lost seven of eight League and Cup matches away from home, gaining only two points from the possible 24 since beating Manchester City 0-1 on 18 March.
- The best starters in the highest League with four goals scored in the first five minutes, and none conceded in the first quarter (22 minutes). That's better than any other club on both counts.
- Picked up just one point from the 12 available on the road this term (2-2 at Everton on 16 September).
- Last achieved successive victories in the Premiership on 11 and 18 March (away to both Sunderland and Manchester City).
- Won by more than a single goal in only one of the last 27 Premiership encounters.
- Hold a 100% record this season when a clean sheet has been kept (won two of two), but one of the most profligate sides in the top tier with eight points dropped from winning positions (drew 1-1 home to Watford, and lost 2-1 at Blackburn, and 1-3, home to Manchester United).
- Had double as many points at this identical stage last season (16 after the first eight games, and 19 after nine).
- Have another Lancashire derby after this - away to Bolton next Saturday.
- Emile HESKEY is Wigan's top scorer, with three goals.
- Paul SCHARNER and Leighton BAINES are the only players to have been on the field for every minute of every one of the Latics' League and Cup matches this season.
- Lee McCULLOCH will be making his 200th League appearance for Wigan, if he participates.
