Weekend Premiership details - 29:30.12.01

last updated Friday 28th December 2001, 11:23 AM
Fulham welcome Manchester United to Craven Cottage on Sunday for the first top flight league meeting since April 1968. At that time Fulham were approaching relegation and United showed little mercy thrashing us 4-0.

Despite that poor result overall in topflight league soccer Fulham were able to win or draw 67% of their home games against Man U with the draw being the most common result at 42%.

At the moment Man Utd have won their last 4 games including a 2-0 away win at Everton and a 1-0 win at Middlesbrough. With Fulham's defence holding up despite the disappointing performance on the goal scoring side a draw may well be the result on Sunday. Fulhamweb's prediction is 1-1 in front of 21159.

Other games
Sunderland, Charlton and Blackburn can all go above us in the Premiership if we draw and they win. If we lose then Bolton and West Ham also have the chance to go above us if they win.
