The weekend Premiership programme sees the match of the season for most Fulham fans. That's right the visit of the Blues from Fulham Broadway. In light of Fulham's recent improvement in front of goal the visitors won't be taking the result so much for granted as in previous meetings. Last season when The Cottagers could just about manage a goal a game they drew at home to the Blues and lost away by the odd goal. This season we have a better shooting and scoring record than the Blues so a home win is more than just a possibility.
Elsewhere on the weekend Peter Reid slipped deeper into the proverbial and ended up by criticising his players in public. What a mistaka to maka! Aston Villa managed a close victory at home and allowed their manager to keep his jacket on the nail for a while longer.
All the newly promoted teams were expected to lose, West Brom at Liverpool, Birmingham at Middlesboro and Man City at West Ham, only Man City were able to disappoint taking a point off struggling West Ham.
If we win tonight we go 3rd. Ho, ho.
