Cottagers boss Chris Coleman again continued his policy of heavily involving youth team players in the action with Green, Buari, Rehman, Hudson and England youth international Dean Leacock getting a runout. In total 23 players were used during the game.

Facundo Sava fired the Cottagers ahead from close range early on.

Steve Marlet, playing as rightwing, was then put through by a clever Sava chip and finished well on 24 minutes.

Marlet was replaced by Elvis Hammond on the half-hour mark, and the young striker took only five minutes to make his mark with the third.

During the second half midfield man Sean Davis came on as substitute but he had to go off after he twisted a knee when colliding with an opponent.

Louis Saha was brought down in the area on 68 minutes before getting up to score the fourth from the spot, with Voitsberg's consolation also from a penalty shortly afterwards.
