West Bromwich Albion are believed to be set to make a second bid
to sign Fulham midfielder Paul Trollope.
The Baggies have already had one bid turned down flat, despite
a transfer fee being arranged, because the Craven Cottage outfit
insisted they did not want Trollope to leave until they had found
a replacement.
But now though, after missing out on moves to sign Tottenham's
Ruel Fox, West Brom manager Gary Megson is ready to try again.
He hopes that the form of young Sean Davis at Craven Cottage in
recent times, plus of course the return of Terry Phelan from injury,
will help persuade Jean Tigana he has enough cover in the middle
of the park to let Welsh international Trollope go for a fee of
somewhere around £700,000
