Roy Hodgson admits Bolton were worthy of their point after surviving a barrage of attacks from his Fulham side.
The Trotters took a shock lead against the run of play as Ivan Klasnic handed the away side a half-time lead at Craven Cottage.
Damien Duff cancelled out the strike on 75 minutes to earn his side a 1-1 draw but despite their domination in the second period, Hodgson admits credit where it is due after a resilient Bolton performance.
"It was a fair result I thought," Hodgson said. "But we were unlucky to go in 1-0 down at half-time because it was then virtually a game of no chances for either side.
"We had a ball cleared off the line and really they converted their first chance, much in the way we did against Blackburn on Wednesday night.
"Second-half I thought we really took the game to them and dominated totally, with another couple of clearances off the line and a couple of good saves from Jussi Jaaskelainen.
"Luckily for us, at least we get an equaliser but I think we can be a little bit disappointed we didn't win the game.
"But having said that, I've got to give a lot of credit to Bolton, having come here on a string of disappointing results for them, and they've really worked hard and put their bodies on the line to get a draw today.
"So it would be childish really to begrudge them of the point that they fought so hard for here.
"They worked very hard, the back players won a lot of tackles and I thought we asked a lot of questions of them in the second-half and really put them to the test.
"And unfortunately, when we did get in behind them in one or two good positions, Jussi Jaaskelainen proved what a top goalkeeper he is by pulling off the saves.
"But I'm quite pleased we showed the character to come back after the disappointment of the first-half and it's our third tough game in a week.
"So at least we can come away unbeaten and with one more point in the bag."
