Fulham boss Chris Coleman was not that disappointed with the level of his team's performance but says that Tuesday night's home game with Birmingham is of huge significance.

Fulham are hovering above the relegation places at the foot of the table but Coleman insists there were signs of improvement.

He said: "I was worried about this game before it started but I saw more positive things than in recent matches.

"When we were 1-0 down and trying to get a goal, we had one or two chances but did not take them. Birmingham is now a huge game for us."

Charlton BossArsenal manager Arsene Wenger watched his side dispose of struggling Fulham - and insisted he had no interest in Chelsea's clash with Aston Villa.

Wenger's side left Fulham entrenched in the danger zone at the foot of the Barclays Premiership thanks to a goal in each half from Thierry Henry and Robert Pires. Henry's goal equalled Ian Wright's 128-goal tally for the club.

Wenger believes Arsenal's consistency has returned after completing their fourth game of an unbeaten sequence.

The Arsenal manager knows concentration will be the key for his players as they approach the crucial second period of the season.

Wenger added: "I think our consistency is back - we have been disrupted with that for a while. The concentration is right. Teams think they can come here and score from set-pieces but it doesn't look as easy any more and that is a positive sign. We always think we can be better tomorrow than yesterday.

"Thierry and Robert scored great goals. The goal Robert scored was not easy at all. It was great play. If you look at the number of goals Thierry has scored this year, it is something amazing along with the consistency he has shown. Show me another striker who has never had one or two months without scoring."

Wenger was also cheered by the return of Freddie Ljungberg from his migraine problems.
