Fulham central defender Alain Goma
Fulham central defender Alain Goma has signed an extension to his contract at Fulham which will see him staying at the Club until 2006.

French international Goma joined Newcastle from Paris St Germain for £4.7million in 1999.

Following a dispute with the Toon Town club he moved to Fulham for £4m as The Cottagers stormed the First Division and gained promotion to the Premiership.

He said 'The club wanted me to commit myself and I was happy to do that - I think we can achieve many good things here.

'I like the way the club is managed, we've got some good players here so the future looks good.

'I'm delighted to have signed, I'm very happy at the club and I'm very proud to be able to play for Fulham for an extra season.' Your views on this story? Email newsdesk
