Fulham will aim to end October unbeaten when they host Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

The Cottagers have recorded a win and two draws in their three previous contests this month, with Chris Coleman's side sitting in eighth place in the Premiership table.

They host a Wigan side that have recorded just two victories in their second season in the top flight.

The Latics ended a run of five defeats last Saturday when they beat local rivals Manchester City 4-0 at The JJB Stadium.

Manager Paul Jewell will now want to claim their first three points away from home when they travel to West London.

Fulham will prove a test for the Lancashire club, as Coleman's side have only lost once so far this term at Craven Cottage.

One player who will miss the chance to play his old club is Fulham's Jimmy Bullard, with the midfielder out for the season with a serious knee injury he suffered in a clash with Scott Parker at Newcastle United.

The Cottagers will also be without captain Luis Boa Morte for the home clash with Wigan after the Portugal international fractured his cheekbone in a clash with team-mate Heidar Helguson.

Jewell, meanwhile, may hand summer signing Denny Landzaat a start in midfield after Josip Skoko tore his hamstring in last weekend's win over Manchester City.

Centre back Fitz Hall is also sidelined after suffering ankle ligament damage against City, with Andy Webster or Matt Jackson likely to deputise for the former Crystal Palace defender.

A stalemate likely in store in West London.
