Fulham

  • FULHAM and Bolton had contrasting opening day results, and while Wanderers will want to build on their initial performance, the Cottagers will be grateful for a quick opportunity to erase the memory of Sunday's 5-1 rout at Manchester United. A fourth successive home Premiership victory will go some way to achieving that.
  • The Craven Cottage club have never lost both their opening two fixtures in the same Premiership season, and have never been beaten in the first fixture on home soil in this League (four wins, one draw).
  • The Cottagers hold a 100% home Premiership record against Bolton (five wins out of five, with an aggregate of 13-3).
  • 1. Competing in their 18th season of top tier soccer, and sixth in the Premiership.
  • Took four matches to record their first victory last season.
  • The 1-0 home win over Everton on 27 August was Fulham's only maximum in their first nine Premiership fixtures last term.
  • Completed nine Premiership matches since suffering back to back defeats (Everton and Liverpool on 11 and 15 March, both away from home).
  • Failed to score in only one of the last 11 League games.
  • Defeated Charlton, Wigan and Middlesbrough in the last three Premiership matches at Craven Cottage.
  • The loss to Manchester United on Sunday was only the second time that Fulham had started a Premiership season with defeat.
  • One point from their first three matches last season was the Cottagers' worst ever start to a Premiership campaign.
  • If he participates, CLAUS JENSEN will be facing his former club.
  • Should he play, NICLAS JENSEN will be making his 50th career appearance in the Premiership (Manchester City and Fulham).
  • If he takes the field, Heider HELGUSON will be playing the day after turning 29.
  • Mark PEMBRIDGE needs one more appearance to total 400 in his League career.

Bolton Wanderers

  • BOLTON WANDERERS never surrendered their early two goal lead, home to Spurs on Saturday, and now face Fulham on Sam Allardyce's 2,500th day in charge. They're seeking to end an 11-match winless League run on the road (five draws and six defeats).
  • The Trotters have only once picked up maximum points from the first two matches of a Premiership season. They opened the 2001-02 campaign by thrashing Leicester 0-5 - the last time they won their first AWAY fixture of the season - and followed it up with a 1-0 home victory over Middlesbrough.
  • Wanderers last won at Fulham on 21 November 1992, when Bruce Rioch's side picked up a 1-4 second tier victory. Their most recent top flight maximum on the turf of the Thames-side club was 1-2 on 11 April 1952 (54 years ago).
  • One of four founder members of the Football League competing at the highest level this season.
  • Embarking on the 68th top flight campaign in their history.
  • Appointed in October 1999, Sam Alladyce is the third longest serving manager of a single club in the Premiership, behind Sir Alex Ferguson of Manchester United and Arsene Wenger of Arsenal.
  • Completed 11 Premiership matches since recording back to back wins (defeated West Ham and Sunderland on 11 and 18 March - both at home).
  • Not managed a maximum on their Premiership travels since the 0-4 triumph at Everton on 17 December last year - Bolton's only win in 13 away League games.
  • If he lines up for the kick off, Kevin NOLAN will be making his 200th club career start - all for Bolton.
  • When he next keeps goal from the outset, Ian WALKER will be making his 400th career League start (Spurs, Oxford, Leicester and Bolton).
