Fulham's game with Birmingham has become the latest match to fall victim to the weather after the Craven Cottage pitch failed a 12pm inspection.
As a result, today’s game has been cancelled.
Match officials at Craven Cottage left the inspection as late as possible to give the game maximum chance to go ahead, but unfortunately, due to a small area of of frost in the Craven Cottage pitch, near the Putney terrace, the referee Graham Poll decided that the match should not go ahead as the pitch was unplayable.
The Club had been very optimistic that the game would go ahead as planned but this morning a small area of the pitch at the Putney End failed to defrost despite the use of hot air blowers.
No date has yet been mentioned as to when the game will be rescheduled
