Fulham's managing director Michael Fiddy has written to 12,000 local residents after deciding to boycott a meeting organised by a group opposed to their stadium redevelopment plansMichael Fiddy Managing Director of Fulham F.C..

Fiddy claimed some of the club's neighbours were circulating inaccurate information about the proposals and felt he needed to explain their non-appearance at today's gathering.

Fulham Alliance have been vocal in their opposition to the £70 million plans for a 30,000 all-seater stadium on the Craven Cottage site, but the club denied claims about the height of the stands and the inclusion of a conference centre.

Fiddy said: "The nature of the misinformation propagated has led us to conclude it is inappropriate for the club to meet with the organisation."
