Following Swansea's friendly with Fulham yesterday, manager Chris Coleman has ruled out a move for Darren Pratley.
Kenny Jackett revealed that he was going to make another attempt to bring the midfielder to South Wales on a season long loan but Coleman wants the best for Pratley and preferred him to join a Championship side instead.
However, talking to the Western Mail, Coleman said he wants to send the player to a Championship side: "My heart says I want to be nice but I have to do what's right for Darren and Fulham.
"We don't want to let him go to a League One side. He needs to go to a Championship team on loan and then come back to us a better player with more first-team experience."
Despite rejecting Swansea's offer, Coleman complimented the newly promoted League One side and said: "Swansea are a good team, hard to break down and dangerous on the counter attack,".
"They can do well again this season and win promotion for a second year, then with the new stadium who knows where they can go?
