Bet on Fulham to beat Norwich

last updated Monday 28th August 2000, 10:10 AM
Today sees the Glorious Super Whites travelling north to Norwich and the Bookie are not so sure of the squads ability to replicate the type of football on display against Stockport and Birmingham with Ladbrokes, for example, quoting The Mighty Whites at 11/10.

As you can see by clicking on Norwich in the up to date league table they have only earned one point in the first three games so do not appear to be much of a challenge. However other interesting pointers are that Norwich have given away 40 fouls so far against Fulham's 19, 21 offsides against Fulham's 7 and although creating less shots on goal 32 against Fulham's 58 have a fractionally better on target ratio at 56% against Fulham's 52%. Norwich could provide a tough test to The Super Whites' ability to keep cool and play Tigana style football

If you are convinced that a Fulham win is a stone bonkers certainty and that taking money from the Bookies is a duty then the only thing to do is to have a single on The Mighty Whites to win.

As you may well know Football League rules and sometimes Bookie fears conspires against us poor betting folk getting a single on the match of our choice. However it is possible to get round the restriction by using the Bookies own set up.

We can use the firsthalf secondhalf bet in such a way as to get a single on the outcome we want to bet on.

To back Fulham to win just bet proportionately on the three first/secondhalf outcomes that end up with Fulham being the winner at the end of the match (Norwich/Fulham, Draw/Fulham and Fulham/Fulham). Of course if you want to back the Draw or a Norwich win you take the particular three options that end with your choice being the winner.

To make it easy I have drawn up a table, that shows you the options to back, displayed below, using the prices offered by the Magic Sign. The relationship between the stakes is important so if you want to bet with a larger or smaller sum divide or multiply the suggested stakes below by the same prefered number

Ladbrokes swish on-line betting facilityIf you are over 18 yrs you can bet at these prices with switch/delta cards just click on the icon to bet on line or you can telephone 0808 1000 421.

Stake levels can be increased or reduced as long as you keep the same proportions. So multiply or divide each stake by the same number.

If you feel confident you can always leave one of the three elements, of what ever outcome you are betting on, out to increase your rate of return but remember that that also increases your risk of losing
