Im beginning to warm to MJ as an individual ,a family man who could be a very good manager with the right backing.
I hope he stays but he must be very very wary however of the club management who have a history going right back to the days of Trinder in the 60s of getting rid of their best players.
The management were always notorious for knowing the price of every player but the value of none.
Hopefully they will prove me wrong next season.

Are you really including John Lacy in that list of quality players or is there another Lacy that I don't know about? He was ordinary at best...

And Ronnie Rooke to Arsenal for £5,000 plus two of their useless reserve players. Rooke saved Arsenal from relegation in 1946/47 season with 21 goals from 24 matches and the following season was the leading goal scorer in the old top division, Division One, with 33 goals and was voted player of the year by the Daily Express. He averaged 0.74 goals a game for Arsenal which is still the second highest average, fractionally behind Ted Drake.
Ronnie was 35 when Arsenal bought him but what a bargain for three seasons before going to Crystal Palace.
If only we had some one like him today.
