Story of a Fulham Man - Well what can I say about My Grandad Jack, good friend of Tosh Chamberlain, Life Long Fulham Boi now 87 years old - Born in Fulham, Wedded in Fulham & Started his Family in Fulham (so how I later became 3rd Generation Fulham Boi) sadly now suffers with Alzheimer’s - but amazingly he remembers all things Fulham! 50’s 60’s 1975 FACup loss - he helped save the club late 80’s early 90’s raising money for FFC in his beloved Black Cab!! Prem days & that Europa run too. I am privileged & honoured he is accompanying me today, he cared for my Nan 12 years until she passed away & it will be the first time he’s seen FFC in 15 years & if we can win this game today, he tells me his whole life will make sense?? I’m asking everyone coming today please let’s make this happen - let’s get Wembley rockin like the cottage & help the boys over the line #COYW #onelastpush #doitforgrandadjack

Hi all, I have two adult tickets in section 113 available for today. I’ve received offers from Villa fans and Arsenal fans to buy them but obviously would like them to go to FFC supporters only. Face value at £67 per ticket. Let me know if you know of anyone looking. Thanks!

What's the reason for sale? did you just get greedy without caring for those who might have needed them had they made general sale. So many on here clearly bought more than they needed

First half hour , cagey affair , then they score and shut up shop. We then push and push and eventually our footballing philosophy as well as youth takes over , we the equalise , white wall goes wild , team is pushed on by this and we get a second to finish off the Villa and away we go proper happy. Love it hey

We had our best chance to gain automatic promotion at Birmingham and we blew it. I can envisage us doing the same at Wembley, because Villa will handle the pressure better. As much as I want us to win this match, we'll need a great deal of fortune and precision finishing to succeed. It's imperative that Kamara starts this match because we need to press from the off, not play tippy-tappy as Villa could get an early goal and shut up shop.

Very profound Geezer. It will indeed. Cor there has been some rubbish talked on here recently. We did blow it at Birmingham, but that’s water under the bridge. Win or lose I just hope we, and Villa give a good account of themselves and that the best team on the day wins. It would be great if all the fans and impartials come away saying that that was a great advertisement for football and great entertainment. On balance I think and hope we will edge it. Anyway, all we can do is make a lot of noise...clappers or not and give the team the support they deserve. It’s going to be close and I’m too old to feel this nervous:))) Have a great day everyone. I would have thought that Villa would be favourites to win at Wembley , not so the bookies feel we are the better team. My biggest concern is their manager who has plenty of experience in play - offs. True we did blow away the chance to already be promoted so let's hope we grab this opportunity and give us all the chance to go a bit barmy his evening

I’m not sure we did blow our chance against Birmingham, in so far as Cardiff would have played their last 30 minutes totally differently, had we been ahead. I cannot believe that they would have finished as they did, had we not been down and out by half time

I am haunted on a daily basis, by that last minute goal by Brentford, which as it turned out, stopped us getting automatic promotion. Up until today, I was quite confident that we would beat Villa at Wembley, but after listening to the so called experts, including Danny Murphy, who don't think that we have a chance, plus reading all the press reports, where I have not seen one paper that gives us a chance of winning, I now have a serious feeling that we are going to come away as losers. The only ones that seem to be backing us are the bookmakers, whom still make us odds on favourites to win. I am already shaking with nerves, so goodness knows what I will feel like come KO time. I know that it's only a football match, as my wife continues to tell me, no ones life is at stake, but it does mean so much to us fans. I don't want to have to go through all of this again next season. COYW

PUNDITS... SMUNDITS......ididl speculaters, like so many. The Birmingham result is a fact. All dropped points be they against Brentford, are just that, many during the season, none more relevant than the other. I think your comment is speculative Rm, we don’t know that would have happened. What we do know is if we’d beaten Birmingham, we wouldn’t, Geezer and me at least, be shi**ing ourselves now:)) Basic fact was we knew what as needed at Birmingham and unfortunately we didn’t step up. Anyway, here we are. Hope you all have great day, the sun shines and we go home with a win.COYWs.

ok so I know football is not won on paper but looking at the two teams (and likely line up tomorrow) I wouldn't swap one Villa player for any of our players. Now that says everything about how we must be confident tomorrow. The nearest... would you swap Grealish for Cairney (I wouldn't) and I wouldn't swap Adomah for Sess or McDonald for Jedinak. Have a go yourself there really isn't a swap to be had and when you look at it like this we really have the better players. Just hope Jokanovic has them playing the best as a team tomorrow.
Replies
What price experience? I hate the guy, but I’d give a lot to have a ‘JT’ figure on our books. Saying that, if we play with pace, flair and no fear, then our relative youth will prevail. Joka will need to earn his seed corn tomorrow, by instilling confidence, discipline and determination ....there can be not room for fear or failure to fight for the cause

7 of Villa's team is 30 or older, We have only one 30 year, the imperious Tim Ream. Just remember what happened in the first 10 minutes (ok I know they scored) but Bobby destroyed Cannavaro who was in his day one of the greatest centre halves ever, But on that night he showed his age and after 10 horrendous minutes was sent off and the rest is history. So to tomorrow. If Mitrovic is on fire, Terry will find it difficult. What has really wound me up is talk of Villa's experience. Yes they are old on their last pay day and lots who have seen better days, I think we will be hungrier PS With that rant and logic, Kamara should start! Just convinced myself #COYW

If we play to our capacity, we will win. It’s as simple as that. If we are fearful, reticent and overawed, we will lose. Hopefully, we wont concede an early goal. I will be more than happy if we can get to half time 0-0

Whatever happens tomorrow, we have had a season to remember, and win or lose, we should be proud of what the lads have done. For any side In the Championship to go on a 23 unbeaten run was superb, in a very tough league. Hopefully we will be victorious tomorrow, but if we fail, then surely next season will be third time lucky, and we will not only be promoted, but with no early season falters, we will run away with the title as well. The proviso is that we keep this squad together, for one more bash.

Both defeatist and delusional. We MUST win tomorrow if we want any chance of keeping this squad intact. And please! Let’s not talk about ‘if we lose tomorrow’ as this is a recipe for losing! If we lose, our season will not have been a success.

I must say that unlike most people on this forum I don’t expect Jokanovic to pick AK to start on Saturday. I’m not convinced he trusts him to do his defensive duties. And the worst thing we can do is go a goal down early because Villa will do a Chelsea and just shut up shop. I think he will start with Piazon and give him 65 minutes
Replies
Bassim' are you insane? Piazon dude! Take a re-wind back to Sunderland- Kamara came on for 60+ minutes and won us the game. Piazon and Aite have played regularly and have not really been productive, piazon scored a goal but gave the ball away too much. Aite misses gilded chance after chance. At Derby we came away losing 1-0 with those two. At the Cottage Kamara came on from the start and he was brilliant, and he was unlucky not to score with that 20 yard shot that bounced off Carson. Gentleman Jim who is commentating at Wembley was calling for Kamara to start before kick-off, he rates him very highly. If we start slow with a team like Villa, and go 2 goals down, we are sunk mate! They will be on to us like Brentford and Birmingham. We just cannot afford to kick off tentative and slow. Kamara is eager to please, and if he gets booked? We can always take him off early for precaution. At the end of the day, Slavisa will pick the team, so whatever he does, the sword will rise or fall on the result after that.

Slavisa knows that Villa's best chance to score is on a set piece. Kamara is far more powerful in the air than Piazon, Ayite or Kebano. Plus AK can absolutely terrorize at Villa's back four. This is a no-brainer. To me, the player I'd like to see come on around 60 mins, if we're tied or leading, is Kalas. He's athletic and powerful in the air as well.
posted by Drago (Guest) - Friday 25th May 2018, 6:31 AM

Bassim - Kamara has earned his place in the starting line up. Jokanovic has had a couple of weeks to work with him, And, what you seem to miss, we want to score goals and then we can bring on a more defensively guarded player. We have enough cover in midfield to allow Kamara to bomb on, it will also keep Hutton at bay from marauding forward. Shame you don't get this. And, regarding your earlier comments directed at me, I have always maintained that this is professional sport at a very high level, it might seem harsh to you but Jokanovic's key objective was to win promotion, if he doesn't do this tomorrow he has failed in that objective. Any failure requires and in depth investigation. And, by the way Guardiola, from what I have heard and read about the guy gives extremely high class motivating team talks as I would hope Jokanovic is doing during this past two weeks. Perhaps you mistake team talks for the superficial dressing room last minute bravado rant. Another mistake you have made.

and just to add about Kamara..following Jokanovic's expression of an old and tired Villa he would be foolish not to use Kamara to really stretch those tired old legs; Kamara will do this in abundance on the Wembley turf. And, of course, we have Kebano, Ayite and Piazon who can do the same should Kamara tire after 60 minutes.

The average age of the Villa team is 28 and that is hardly old. The average age of the Fulham team is 23. I really don't think there will be that much difference after nearly two weeks rest...
posted by MST (Moderator) - Friday 25th May 2018, 11:41 AM

I agree MST the age issue is a non issue but Jokanovic mentioned it. And, if he were talking about Terry then he hasn't lost his legs as he was never that quick. That said, I do think Kamara's pace combined with Mitrovic's different approach will certainly stretch Villa this way and that.
posted by Tactics Board (Guest) - Friday 25th May 2018, 12:03 PM

Making comparisons between the average age of the two teams is meaningless. Of course Villa's average age will be higher than ours. John Terry is 37, and we've got Ryan Sessegnon at the ripe old age of 18, and these distort the averages. If you take both out of the calculation, I'd be surprised if there's that much difference between the ages of the two teams
posted by Bacchus (Guest) - Friday 25th May 2018, 12:05 PM

I can only assume Jokanovic mentioned the 'old and tired' bit to try and counter the assertions that Villa have more experience, he wants to dispel the experience claptrap from his team's agenda. Bottom line is though and he should have said this to the media 'I would prefer to have my players at Wembley than Villa's' that would have been a better reply?
posted by Tactics Board (Guest) - Friday 25th May 2018, 1:14 PM

First of all can i just clarify that I din't say he should play Piazon instead of AK. Far from it. I said that I expect he will. These are quite different things. Secondly i totally disagree that if we fail to win the game tomorrow it will constitute failure on the part of the manager. I literally do not know a single Fulham fan who, if told the team would get 88 points over the 2017-18 season would say that would be failure. This is clearly just bonkers.
posted by bassim - Friday 25th May 2018, 4:12 PM

Bassim the points total is irrelevant if two teams have more points! So you would play Kamara then?
posted by Tactics Board (Guest) - Friday 25th May 2018, 4:50 PM

Yes of course I would play Kamara. But I’m a fan so I believe we can win by playing an attacking game. I don’t for a second imagine that I have a better tactical insight than someone who has been successfully managing teams for years. And you can’t seriously be suggesting that winnng 25 and drawing 13games in a season, scoring 79 goals and playing some of the best attacking football we have seen at the cottage in almost a decade is irrelevant to whether the season has been successful

Just read the message from the Chairman on the Fulham website...it might just be me but it was hardly Churchillian, I hope Slavisa has a bit more 'our time is now' about it. I thought our Chairman's message was a little twee, the real fans of Fulham are NOT going for a day out at Wembley, we are going to watch our team compete in professional sport and to deliver our team back at the top table where we can surely compete and better the likes of Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Watford, Brighton, Southampton and on.

Hopefully he has more class than some of your supporters who actually seem to believe that ridiculous propaganda is all you need to win a football match. There are many quality players doing battle on Saturday and the only sure thing is that once the whistle blows not a single one will be thinking about the mundane mindless BS that you guys are spouting. If we are at our very best we will beat Aston Villa even if they are at their best. Bluntly, we are the better team, objectively I would prefer to have the Fulham players on Saturday rather than the Villa players. The team will be; Bettinelli, Fredericks, Ream, Odoi, Targett, Mcdonald, Johansen, Cairney, Kamara, Sessegnon, Mitrovic. Key match ups; Mitrovic v Terry, Kamara v Hutton, Sessegnon v Bree, Snodgrass v Targett, Adomah v Fredericks. Whoever wins midfield wins the game. Aston Villa will only beat us through a set piece or not watching Grealish. If we play to Jokanovic's plan and everyone works their socks off we will win 2-0 as we did in February.

A couple of things about the above post; If you think we only score from set pieces you haven’t seen much of us. I expect Jedinak in the starting lineup, and I’d expect him to get to Mitrovic before Terry. If you’re judging us from the game at the cottage you’re in for a bit of a reality check. My only real concern was losing Elmohamady at RB, that weakens us a little for sure.

Villa absolutely stunk the place out against a fairly lame Boro in the semi final games...and one goal from a set piece...that's what I watched.

TacticsBoard; Villa won the tie with Boro, it’s knockout football bud. Villa completely nullified Boro, who couldn’t muster a serious shot on goal at Villa Park. Some might say we got our tactics absolutely spot on against a typical Tony Pulis side. Speaking of Boro, if memory serves me right I think Fulham drew with Boro at the cottage before unleashing that Barcelona style football in the away game and getting 2 shots on target and winning with a 95th penalty, 1-0. Funny thing, facts. I’m quite content going into the game knowing as we do now that your manager has us down as tired and old, I hope that has transferred to your players as well. Big expectation for the game tomorrow from around the world, big pressure for the richest game in world football. I wonder who will handle it best on the day?
posted by William McGregor (Guest) - Friday 25th May 2018, 11:45 AM

Fulham are the better footballing team, that is the point. If Fulham play at their best they will win. Obviously, who handles the pressure on Saturday will ultimately succeed but there is nothing in the Villa team that unduly concerns me nor should it concern our team.

I remain hopeful that your players approach the game with the same level over-confidence. Worst of luck to you!

Of course it's about Villa v Fulham but if the players have any connection with the fans at all, they will know what it means to us if we have to endure John Terry lifting that Trophy on Saturday evening and they will need to give every ounce of their skill, determination, energy and passion in order to win that game and stop that happening.

Every time, I read or hear something about our journey this season, I feel a little emotional so I would not be surprised if feelings got the better of me on Saturday if we win but us fans must play our part during the game too.

Whether you are a season ticket holder, member, fan at the odd game, friend, family or neutral we need you to be willing Fulham on to victory with every bone and breath in our bodies and if we go a goal or even two goals down (God forbid) shout and cheer even louder.

The team needs us and wearing white (I will be) or not, our voices are the most important thing and if there are any players reading this PLEASE do not let John Terry anywhere near that trophy!!

WE CAN DO THIS SO DO IT FOR FULHAM, DO IT FOR THE FANS BUT MOST OF ALL........DO IT FOR YOURSELVES!!!

With every pundit that I listen to, going mad for a Villa win, why, when I went into Ladbrokes today to put a few quid on Fulham to win the match outright, they are making Fulham 4/6, and Villa odds against. I was hoping that it would be the other way around. With all the so called experts saying that Villa will win because of their experience, and Steve Bruce's guidance, how come we are odds on, when nobody fancies us to win.? Except us of course COYW.

It’s a strange one, really. Fulham are definitely the better footballing side and, with a fair wind, should win, so long as our players are well prepared, and really up for it. Villa, however, have greater experience of BIG games at big venues, and Terry is a giant when it comes to experience on such occasions. Bruce is also no slouch. We are relatively untried on these occasions and Jokanovic has no experience of Wembley, nor do our players It’s a very big ask, but, with the right team and tactics, we should win....but, in all honesty, I’m a trifle nervous,, which is why its lucky I’m neither manager nor player!

Just perusing your blogs and surprised at some of the venom shown on here. Just to correct you The Villa are a massive club and would fill Wembley capacity if given the option. Fulham are small in comparison. The Villa deserve to be back in the Premiership because we run the club that way. Also, most premier teams wants us back because of our name , brand and vast support Our local papers have quoted Fulham fans stating Villa are a poor side and you will rip us apart. It sounds from this blog they got that point true Hourahaine was commenting when asked if Villa would be singing and dancing if we got to Wembley. He said no, as the job isn't finished untill we play at Wembley final. So not BS but point of fact Your tickets fiasco as annoyed us as we believe only club supporters should be attending this game. Supporters who give their hard earned cash to the club event time they watch the team. Let's face it, a lot of your tickets will be on the black market which is not good for your clubs reputation and not good for football

Holte Ender it sounds like your local papers and Connor Hourihane are as full of BS as you are. Biggest insult is from Hourihane and his ridiculous attempt to twist our post match celebrations upon reaching the final. Anybody with half a brain no offence Holte Ender can work out for themselves that the boys were celebrating the chance to gain promotion in a Wembley Final and not actually believing that the job had been completed. In fact the celebrations from Villas supporters and players were a mirror image of our own. Disgusted with the press for bothering to give credence to this non story but certainly not surprised. Thankfully Saturdays game won’t be decided by all this nonsense. I have never heard such a large volume of meaningless babble bandied about before a game of football. Thankfully the game will be decided by professional footballers over either 90 or 120 minutes and not the handful of idiots that know nothing and claim to know it all.

To say this game is huge would be the understatement of the season Win and we can look forward to Man City at the Cottage- lose and its Brentford again. There is no doubt that at Chritmas e would have bitten your arm off for a play off place, yet it turned out we blew the chance of automatic promotion with a stinker of a game against a very poor Birmingham side. I'm very wary of any Steve Bruce team and like all Fulham fans would be gutted if he managed to pull off a victory. Wonder what our message board will look like come Sunday morning?

Villa will be stubborn. They will play like Derby but they will be more dangerous countering. So our defence got to stay tight. I am glad we have a fully fit team- we will and especially the midfield need to work very hard. I’d like to see AK47 wide again but suspect he boss will play Piazon. Be patient and hold tight at the back we can and will beat Villa! Hopefully Sunday morning will be a massive hangover!

Yes, we do have a tight defence, but I think we will take the game to Fulham as we will not want to give you the possession you want. We have Grabban who will be a threat with Snodgrass and Adomah, who will keep your fullbacks busy. Then you need to stop Jack. G who's Villa through and through and the only way you will do that is by getting yellow cards You have some good players but we are a team that grafts and fights to retain possession. If you are favourites and according to a lot of Fulham fan you are, then take that pressure on the pitch. According to some of you, Villa shouldn't even bother to turn up. There nothing like confidence The one thing we will win on Saturday will be the fan base. Over 38,000 true Villa fans. With the 5 ticket fiasco that your club did, there will be a lot of your so called fans, who will be there because it's a day out and not because they support you. UTV

AK-47 KAMARA CAN GO RIGHT AND LEFT, AND JUST KEEP RUNNING AND SCARING THEM. WE NEED TO MARSHEL AND BOSS THAT MIDFIELD. VILLA WILL BE DANGEROUS AT SET PIECES WITH GREALISH. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE KALAS ON THE PITCH TO ADD SOME MORE MUSCLE. WE ARE A BIT LIGHT-WEIGHT AGAINST TERRY, BUT SAYING THAT, I CANT SEE THEM KEEPING US OUT. FULHAM ALWAYS CREATE CHANCES, AND BIG MITROVIC WILL NOT MISS THIS TIME. steve. if you understand any fulham fans none of us believe we will just turn up and win. weve been through to much to think that. this will be a good game i hope. Villa have an experienced hard working side. Its all about how well we deal with the pressure. If we relax and pass the ball quickly like we can your experianced team will tire and we will take advantage. We are the better side but will have to be at our best to win at wembley. cant wait roll on satutday. COYW

Danny So your a family club, I get that Villa are a family club but on a bigger scale and a few of our fans will not be taking their kids as our ticket distribution was one per season ticket holder and also our fan base in the biggest in this division and the midland area As for the Benny/ Crossroads jibe, how old are you to remember that. Bring on Saturday and I hope the big crowd that Villa bring doesn't make you to dispondent

So youve come on here to brag about your fan base fantastic. dont matter how the tickets were sold both ends sold out. Yes you have more supporters but you have no decent sides near to you. Us fulham fans are as passionate as they come. Enjoy your cry back to the sh#t hole of Birmingham saturday night

The reason I came on here is to give a more balanced view as a lot of media outlets are forecasting that you will walk all over us on Saturday. But I will leave you with this. Yes, we are a championship team at present but that will change on Saturday. Enjoy another season in the champo because Villa's going up,

Not sure what papers you are reading Steve or how you are getting the idea that our fans are over confident. I have a feeling that you are from the same school of pathetic mind games as Connor Hourihane and are simply adding to the BS that he spouted after our team dared to celebrate making it to the final. Anyone who knows football and I am not sure that you do will know that in a game as crucial as a championship play off final over confidence for either set of players could be fatal. It should be a hell of a game and I believe the eventual winners will know they have been in a battle. If pushed for a prediction I would say I am cautiously optimistic that we can do this. Hope this does not come across as being too arrogant.

STEVE' YOU WERE LUCKY TO GET AWAY WITH THAT 1.0 EARLIER ON IN THE SEASON. I SUGGEST YOU RE-WIND BACK AND ASK STEVE BRUCE ABOUT THAT ONE.FULHAM BEAT VILLA PROPERLY 2.0 THE 2ND GAME. WHERE IS THIS SUPERIOR CLASS COME FROM? I DON'T SEE IT MYSELF. YOU GUYS DIDN'T CUT IT IN THE PREM, AND YOU HAVE MORE WORRIES WITH A RAMPANT MITROVIC FOCUSED THIS TIME AT WEMBLEY, NEVER MIND OUR YOUNG UN SESSEGNON WHO HAS JUST TURNED 18. BIRTHDAY SESS, WILL WANT TO ADD TO THE SCORE SHEET TO COMPLETE HIS BIRTHDAY. LET'S SEE HOW GOOD GREALISH IS, AND WE CAN COMPARE HIM TO SESSEGNON. GOOD LUCK ON THAT ONE MATE! WE WILL SEE IF JOHN TERRY STILL HAS ANYTHING LEFT, HE SURE WILL BE BUSY KEEPING MITRO QUIET. GOOD LUK ON THAT ONE TOO MATE!!!

Grealish is one of the top players in the Championship. He'll be tough to control. It's possible that Johansen or McDonald will pick up a second booking by taking him out on the break late on in the game. My honest prediction is a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes, with a Fulham victory after 120. Villa are a strong and excellent side, with some real quality players. However, they are ageing. If Fulham can keep it to a tight game, I think Kamara and Fredricks will cause some real problems for Alan Hutton, who's been playing as a left-back for Villa recently. I feel that Villa just won't have the legs for 120 minutes. Obviously a 3-0 victory would be fantastic, but let's be realistic here. These are the two most deserving sides to be in the playoff final. It won't necessarily be pretty, and even if Fulham do go up this time, I have no doubt that Villa will be champions next season.

Lol Owan you don`t even know the correct score from first game in october, It was 2-1 was a blatant penalty and we had over 20 shots v you should have been a 4 or 5-1 to villa game (on a big Pitch)

I think the playoff final should be fascinating, possibly the best two clubs to contest the championship playoff final ever? Both sides capable of scoring goals, both sides scored lots of goals this season and goals for and against very similar. What I will say is I’m cautious that you boys do have more in your locker than just a Traore at Boro, it’s a case of if they all turn up on the day. But in Adomah, Snodgrass, Grabban, Kodjia, Grealish etc we got a bit in ours too. An open game suits your more youthful players better so I don’t expect Bruce to allow that to happen, I’m thinking a tight game for sure. Jokanovic will surely have to let your full backs know that if they get caught upfield then the likes of Grealish and Snodgrass will punish them. Here’s looking forward to a great playoff final.

Agreed Villa bigger club than fulham have bigger ground won big trophies a lot of history but doesn't actually mean anything this Saturday. Considering Chelsea about a mile away and qpr and Brentford within 3 miles it's incredible that we are pulling in 17000 plus regular crowds. As for us filling our allocation for Wembley don't think that's the sign of a small club. Let's do our talking on the pitch and take us back to the premier league where we spent 14 years throw in a europa cup final COYW

Silly to compare club size by Villa fans! Based on what? Fan base, wealth of value of the club! I’d give Villa the fan base but we have a pretty wealthy chairman and if the two clubs go on sale tomorrow, Fulham would worth more! Even the fan base, I am 100% sure there will be more fulham fans inside Wembley stadium than Villa - 80% of the neutral fans will be Fulham’s! Anyway a pointless comparison. The important fact is we have a a very competitive team and we finished one place higher than villa. Only because of that paper make us more favourite.

How many England games and FA cup semis has Craven Cottage ever hosted? We look stupid trying to suggest we are in any way a bigger club than Villa, it's cringeworthy. What we do have is the marginally better team right now and hopefully that will show on the day.

Went to the Wolves v Fulham game and the Villa v Wolves game. Probably fair to say Fulham and Villa were at their best in these games? We lost to Fulham (without Neves) but got absolutely battered by Villa with him. If Villa raise their game to what it was against us I think Fulham will have a big problem tomorrow.

Interesting piece in the paper about Villa fans being limited to one ticket each with proven history . In contrast we have 5 each , with allegedly , many now on resell ( with some bought by Villa fans )at " inflated " prices . It goes on to mock our fans , having to learn the chants or even the players names in advance - and of course our use of clappers .
No doubt they do have a bigger fan base and average gate is almost twice ours .
But we should still have a great turnout on Saturday , and if the team share the passion of even 15,000 diehard fans , we should have something to smile about .

So Harry Kane thinks England will win the World Cup. I am quite happy to give him 20 - 1 we don't. Secondly, I suggest the FA arrange for a full medical, both physically and mentally, in order to ascertain if he is fit to be captain. With some of our defenders running around like headless chickens I think it will be an achievement getting out of the group stage.

Don’t worry, Kane is now in a prime position to claim all the goals and penalties!
