....but I cannot read any more of this drivel without hitting delete. I'd have dearly loved to have kept to my word but it's been two days now and I have an itchy trigger finger.

Thanks for the obituaries by the way; not sure I deserved any of it and to be fair my decision was made after consuming a bottle and half of chateauneuf du pape so I was a little emotional to say the least.

It would make a nice change to see people who know a bit about football actually talking about football for a change...

I used to enjoy reading other peoples opinions on performances, signings and other club matters but people seem to be coming on here to talk absolute nonsense about totally irrelevant issues as they have nothing better to do and no one to actually talk to.

The moderators are on this site for a reason and they do a good job, give them a break.

Replies
So! We have 'Boro at the weekend and it would be Fulhamish to beat them by a good score however, somehow I don't think we have the cohesion or confidence in our team to go and actually do that.

I've seen a couple of 'Boro games this season and they look very good going forward and solid in defense so I hate to say it but I think the best we can hope for is a well fought draw.

Hope I'm wrong COYW!!

There's an invisible line between discussing tactics and transfers, and being a moaner. I'm happy to announce that I'm one proud moaner. I have however accepted our 12th position this season. So I expect a generous sprinkling of wins draws and losses. However, next season, I will expect all our players to have improved massively, as long as we don't make Malone mistakes again.

Reading the letter from Josh, made me realise I'm one of those that can't realy comment on our performance as sadly can't get to the Cottage any more so I'll take his hint and " love you and leave you" it's been fun and will continue to read all your views regarding our wonderful club.

Fred. As a long time supporter you have every right to comment on whatever subject you like, as often as you like and you don't have to apologize to anybody. You're one of us mate and it needs to stay that way. I don't think Josh was referring to you in his post. Hang in there Fred, we're family. By the way, I can't get to the cottage either but that doesn't stop me joining in the discussions. Take care and be lucky Fred. Jimbo

Hi Fred, thanks for asking after me. I'm well and have stayed away from this site much for the same reasons as MST. This site has become very controversial and unfriendly in recent months and not very Fulham friendly as to what it once was. We all used to have good discussions with each other as to which way Fulham fc was going, not always agreeing but still friendly and respectful towards each other, now it's become hostile. I do hope it changes back to how it was and people like MST and myself return. Thanks again Fred, i will read the odd comment from time to time but not pass comment.

Look on the bright side of the disappointing loss to Burton: we a one step closer to getting our 2 best players back from injury which will give the team the cutting edge (hopefully), and also, the nature of the loss will lead to a strong response against an unpredictable middlesborough team. Dont panic yet

Anyone know when these 3 players will be fully fit?? These 3 plus Sessengnon (only because of his potential) are the 4 most valueable players in our team. We are desperately missing that quality. Looking at the statistic from the Burton game, like most games we lose, we bettered them in every number (some by many folds) except goals and shots on target (story of 2017!). We are missing the creativity and superb ball possession from Cairney. With Soares, we might be able Sessengnon lose on the wing and what a partnership they can form and with Fonte fit, hopefully we will be more clinical and able to convert the increasing number of crosses we make into goals. I can't wait until we have a full strength team to see if we really good enough this season! COYW

Fonte cost £12m Soares has a release clause of £15m. If we can't convert that into championship quality, we have a problem. We even managed to get some quality out of Martin when he didn't want to be here.

I think our boys will put it right against the boro at the weekend. Reams blog is a good read, and i think they feel genuinely that they let us the fans down! Fulham seem to play better against teams that come out and play their natural game. There are good reasons why some of the players were a bit off? Coming back from injury is a common one, and kabano was one of them. Honestly i could tweek out all the ifs and but's until the cows come home here, but the crux is, we had a stinker of a day against burton. We are not the first or the last team to have a bad day in this league, I think the likes of ojo will want to prove a point, and so will the rest of the lads. Expect a positive reaction from our guy's next game...
Replies
The team wasn't that bad overall, but the front 3 ( kebano, oyi & ayite ) were poor again.Oyi & Ayite were not only poor technically, their commitment & work ethic were very poor. Oyi seems to think he's here for a bit of practice. They need to be dropped, with only kebano maybe being given one more chance. Fonte's obviously a starter if fit. But who do we play up front ? Kamara's nowhere good enough, Fonte's really an attacking winger. Who & whatever we may think is responsible, surely we can all agree that we had a bloody peculiar transfer window which has damaged our promotion chances. Even if we beat 'Boro we will still be a far more fragile outfit than at the beginning of the year.
posted by Bedrossian (Guest) - Monday 18th September 2017, 11:31 PM

Many years ago when we were fighting for promotion and on a good winning run, we went to Rotherham, who at the time were struggling for survival at the bottom, and we got bashed 4-0. We said then that our promotion push was over, but we finished as champions, so losing to Burton is a set back, but not a disaster as yet. I must admit though that I can't remember Gentleman Jim, being so down after a defeat. To him it was the end of the world. I really admire that guy.

Perhaps Mr Ron, Manager in charge of our team would like to take note, that Caudrey Woodrow who is not up to being good enough for our team scored against Derby at the weekend. If SJ doesn't fancy him other teams do and he certainly seems to score. Mind you we have got to stop giving penalties away and start scoring when we are award a penalty. Some hopes but I say get the lad back in our side and not out on loan. He's an Under England 23 player what is wrong with the lad?

It used to be standard for our players to say thanks to supporters at end of the game . Parker always used to lead them . Now its Kallas & Ream ,maybe Macdonald , Betts when he plays - the rest seem keen to get of the pitch quickly as possible . It should be drilled into them by SJ , maybe even showing example and pushing them back on .

I know we have more pressing matters to sort out as we are clearly not to the standard we were last year - we have become too predicable .

Reggi on what do you base your comment about paul parker. When malcolm and ray harford selected him for the first team from the juniors he was brilliant. When he was sold to qpr we got the name of fulham football club and all the existing players contracts and that is why we are still playing league football !!! Sir alex ferguson said he was part of the best back four he ever managed- parker ,bruce, pallister and irwin. He played for England in the world cup under sir bobby robson. He could not have been so bad!!!

Clearly there is a number of people who post on this board who do not know the difference between what is illegal and what is a differing of opinions.

It is also clear that there are people who don't even realise they are racists because it was acceptable back in the old days to say or infer certain things about ethnic minorities. It was ok to beat the sh*t out of defenseless kids back in those days too!!

I don't mind taking the banter and will give as good as I get on the insults front but I do not want to be associated with people or a media responsible for the kind of behavior that is clearly racist and xenophobic and for that reason I will no longer moderate or post on this board.

I know that a lot of people will be glad of that and that's fine. It's just sad that some people cannot respect other human beings regardless of race, creed or colour and disguise it under jokes or inferences.

You're welcome to your board.......

The assertion that the head coach has had much influence over the poor quality transfers to the club & the loss of quality players from the club is I believe fanciful. Because:- SJ has repeatedly said that the club's recruitment is being run by Kline. This has not been contradicted by either the club nor Kline himself. SJ has not been publicly rebuked nor has he been sacked for repeatedly saying it. It is not credible that a successful manager like SJ would recruit in the amateurish lopsided way that our recruitment was conducted this summer. We do not have a "normal" statistical analysis set up at Fulham. We have the owners son's best friend running it. It is inconceivable that SJ would not want the best players he could. The players recruited hardly fit this description, even if some do improve in the future. Finally we know he fought to keep Aluko & was not pleased about Malone leaving. Just common sense.

I agree with a few reservations. We have to comply with the FFP rules, even though they benefit the top EPL clubs and not the likes of us. On the other hand our net expenditure was minimal last transfer window, and greater risks should have been taken to draft in a shed load of experienced championship players, not loanees nor wanabees. Having said that, who would have been available? For all we know, clubs could have inflated their players' worth when we came knocking. But what was most worrying was Jok's statement that his list of players was ignored by Kline, who hasn't a clue about soccer, and how to gain promotion.
posted by stephen terry (Guest) - Monday 18th September 2017, 4:04 AM

Mark my words. IMO, Jok will walk when the Jan transfer window brings in a few more misfits, not to his liking or on his list. If he was capable of getting Watford promoted, and taking us into the playoffs, his squad should be of his choosing (depending on cost, of course).

I honestly believed they tried to bring decent players in but they either didn't want to move to Fulham or their club's didn't want to sell them. Case in point:

I'm sure they did try to get more players on board, but as the OP said, stats are not the only way to do it and, IMO, should only be used to check out Jok's list of possibles as being suitable or questionable. I know from my playing days, as most ex-players on here will verify, that some players never seem to fit in, or if successful, don't always gel at another club. Even our 'better' players brought on board just don't cut it or cannot endure the physical demands of this league. That's why, IMO, tried and tested Championship players ought to have been targeted first of all.

How many wingers does a team need. Just because we can't get a striker, doesn't mean we have recruit more wingers and hope they can play there.

I understand'we are all angry and upset about Fulham at the moment. We had a bad result against Burton, but let's not get over the top about this. Take a look at some other results around us also. Leeds losing, Derby losing, ECT. Burton can prove a banana skin sometimes, ask Man Utd. I believe they play each other again in that little cup soon. Did someone shout up for roy Hodgson? A great manager for us in the past, but he is 70 now, and Roy will feel the heat for sure, keeping Palace up this season. Maybe we can recruit Rednapp who failed for birmingham. Birmingham quickly accessed the situation concerning Harry, and they obviously have someone in mind to take over. Ronald Koeman just spent a bucket load of money trying to compete with the manchesters and chelsea's and is failing miserably. Maybe after they sack Koeman? We can put him in place of Jokanovic??? HMMM That dutch system doesn't seem to work in the english league judging by frank de boers efforts, so maybe he is out of the runnings! There will be a lot more twist and turns to come this season yet. I would advise with caution, not to upset the management applecart just yet. Give Slavisa Jokanovic some time to gel this Fulham team for pete's sake! Are we that desparate to get rid of him at this moment in time? That is complete rubbish equation that we have been sussed and found out, every team can be sussed and found out. We need to work harder on the pitch, and start scoring goals. We had one disallowed, and hit the bar ect. It doesn't mean we can't score goals. I felt like everyone did after that Burton result, and even i got a bit irrational, and we say things that we regret. Let's not turn our season into a bigger crisis than it is. There is still ample time to turn our season around. We should have expected a reaction like this after the great season we had last year. Unfortunately we didn't get promoted, but hey' we live to see another day. Let's get behind our lads, and yes' maybe we are a 1 man show with Cairney, who cares! I can't wat to see him back if that means we start to fire again.. COME ON YE FULHAM AGAINST BORO... CHEER UP FOLKS!!!!
Replies
Great post! Agree on all fronts. Just to add last season we also had a very sticky patch and we thought we just bought a bunch of mis-fits and rejects (aluko, Malone, Stefan, macdonald, etc), and do you remember the home match against Burton - we were very poor. But by Nov/Dec, the team started to really gel and the rest was history. I think we have a better team than this time last year, and we have some great players (fonte, soares, Cairney, piazon) to come back into the team. We may have missed the opportunity to walk away with the league but we still have every chance to finish in the top 6 if not the top 2! So i will calm down and hope everyone will do the same before we write off the new players completely!

I'm happy with our performance. This is enough to lead us to 12th position from which we can launch a proper promotion campaign for 2018-2019. By then Kamara, Djalo and probably Woodrow will be firing on all cylinders after this season. Also, we will have Gayle at half price by then and a few U23&U18s will have matured. So I think we are on target for 12th. We will easily hit our target with this current form.

It is not the results that are of concern but the way the team are playing. There is no cohesion or pattern and definitely no plan b. The transfer window brought in some very average players with stats that do not add up plus some were signed injured. Others are not being selected by the manager. Signing by spurious stats will not work in football like they do in american football or baseball. A long season ahead and only hope the manager can get it right quickly.

It will take the whole of this season for them to become a cohesive unit. Meanwhile, they are good enough to give us some wins and some draws to push us up to 12th. From what we did during the window, this seems to be our target. So we will achieve it easily.

Sometimes I think this message board should be called MST-web rather than Fulhamweb so many of you spend so much time commenting on my posts and opinions. I've even seen people start new posts with the headline MST for crying out loud.

Seeing as so many of you are so concerned with me and my opinions I thought I'd make my thoughts clear so that you can stop paraphrasing and assuming you know what I think!!

For your information I am not happy with the acquisition of Fulham Football Club by Mr Khan and neither do I think using statistics alone is the right way to acquire new players. I do however, realise that continually moaning about it on this board will bring no changes to the ownership so see no point in it.

Although Slavisa Jokanovic likes to play the same tune on an old fiddle regarding his involvement in player recruitment I do NOT for one minute believe his involvement is zero. Neither do I believe that there are two people sat in an office playing so called "moneyball".

I am totally convinced that Jokanovic will identify the type of player he wants in the position that he wants to fill and then a team of scouts will find players that they have seen play for their clubs many times to present to the Board who investigate from a statistics point of view. I also believe that the information regarding those players is presented to our coach before a final decision on recruitment is made. It is our Head Coach, in my opinion, who wants wingers - not the Board.

That leads me to believe that Jokanovic is as culpable as anyone in our results as he chooses the tactics to play and the players in his team to employ those tactics on the football pitch. Of course players and a team can have a bad game but blaming the board, for me, is well beyond the pale.

Now you have my opinion from the horses mouth can we please get back to commenting on Fulham rather than every other post by some people being about me and my opinions.

Grow up!!

Today's Arsenal line up has Giroud, Sanchez and Walcott on the BENCH. Just think about that for a moment all you FFC fans who harbour hopes to compete in the EPL. If FFC has any ambition to gain promotion to the EPL, for Christ's sake give Jok the players that can get us there. It won't be these three, that's for sure, but hardened and competitive Championship players, not wanabees and newbies that get injured first time on the pitch. If I was the senior Khan, I'd relegate those to the the subs bench.

I also kept wondering how someone from a the lower leagues of France was expected to be better than a striker we have nurtured for years... I don't think Kamara is a bad striker. I would like to pose a question to those more technically minded (which I am not as i simply watch with heart and emotion) in view that of late more and more teams simply go out to stop us playing our style of football. By elimination, does this mean that we simply go out each match to impose our style, which could be interpretated as somewhat arogant, and hence we do not go out trying to do what they do to us. the same question could be asked onother way. We never have a plan B.Fine, any suggestions?.

I even wonder what this means. Does it mean we are magically going to line up Neimars, Jotas, Forestieris and Dwight Gayles in the next match? Or that defenders who cannot defend are suddenly going to become rock solid? Or perhaps our manager is going to magically become a tactical genius that will change the game when QPR deploy their hatchet men while the ref ignores the painful groans of of our midfielders and wingers? Or does it mean that our strikers will magically take their chances. Unfortunately no. We will still lose two games draw 3 and win one. In so doing, drop vital points that will see us scrambling for playoff places, in which teams will shut shop, kick our midfielders and wingers, and hit us on the counter. We will have no reply because we have no other tactic up our sleeves. So we are at best... A championship team for the foreseeable future...unless something changes. But it needs everyone involved to seriously ask if they really want promotion or are just satisfied with being in this league. We are Fulham supporters we will keep supporting our club, but please be honest about your ambitions. Do we just want a win here and there or do we want to dominate the league?
Replies
I think most Fulham supporters are frustrated. We have at last a quality head coach & good coaching staff. We had the "bones" of the best side in the championship, along with the most attractive football in the division. But we also have the owners son & his friend "managing" the club & it's recruitment policy based on "stats". Stats work to a certain extent in cricket, baseball & rounders, but not in "invasion" sports like football, rugby & drunken brawling etc. I wouldn't mind so much if they were good players with good stats & not only ( mostly ) bargain basement offerings. I think "stats" is why we have so many wingers with good stats & no forwards ( strikers with good stats are expensive ! ). We are ( were ? ) so near but so far. I don't think our owner appreciates how rare last season's form ( 2nd half Of ) and entertaining football is. Still, it's his "train set" & he wants his son & his friend to play with it. Sorry about the rant, but it's just so frustrating !!

I've decided to take a break from watching FFC. To start with draws at Reading (10 men) and Leeds (kick 'em to death and we'll win) was encouraging, possibly expected after last season but losing to Burton Albion indicates we are going backwards. I expect we'll be brilliant against Middlesborough but end up with zero points. I'm so fed-up reading that we can't score goals and need a central defender, I'm almost thinking we should call 'arry in now to help us beat the drop.

Signed up to watch live match v Burton Albion in Italy paid £11 only to find out can't watch live match on tablet or phone need desk top cheers probably just as well we are a very average championship team which is fine don't understand why so many people so optimistic I'm very proud to be a fulham fan great football but no cutting edge can't beat an average Cardiff team and then lose to a relegation team let's get real, mid table at best
Replies
Certainly, with this team we're mediocre and deserve to be mid-table. I expect Jok knows unless he gets tried and tested Championship recruits, the misfits that Khan and Kline provide won't get us promoted. Hence he'll walk at some point - probably after the Jan transfer window when yet another batch of loanees and no-goods land upon his doorstep. I'm sure K&K have little idea of how to build a promotion squad, which means taking a financial risk to attract suitable players for this division.

We just missed out on promotion last season, that we didn't was purely down to a lack of a striker, that we should have signed in the January transfer window. Then I thought, well never mind, Brighton reached the play offs but then they made sure that they didn't fail again in that situation, and then were promoted by finishing 2nd the next season. I had high hopes that we would do the same before the season started, but this season due to our lack of both investment and not getting a forward that can score, we are nothing but a not very good mid table side. If you look back over the past seasons, you will see how often the teams that finish 5th in the table in the one season, fail miserably in the season after, and this is going to happen to us. I am really surprised that we are still 7/2 with the bookies for promotion. If I was a bookie, I would be offering at least 50/1, as that is about right. We all now know in our honest minds, that we will definitely not be challenging for a top 6 spot now, and it's going to be just a waste of a season.

I don't want to blame the ref for our loss because there's no excuse for losing to Burton! But still why referees don't have any accountability I don't understand! If they make a wrong decision surely someone should come out and acknowledge the mistake, and the referee should explain why he made the decision he made. They do it in Rugby and tennis. Why not football. Penalty decisions should be validated with tv by the 4th ref.

Agree with most but we should beat Burton football don't work like that even more so in Championship every one can beat every one just got to look at yesterday's results point would not have been so bad so much depends on luck and even not at our best we could have had more points if not for some very poor mistakes by refs worst lve ever seen so many in such a short period of time

Not suggesting that joka is next in line to be axed, but a few more indifferent results like the Burton horror show would put a doubt on his position! I have this feeling that Cairney will show up next week in time for Middlesboro. I have no idea who Joka will play or who he will play? but he needs to sort out a new formation with the players we have at our disposal. I refuse to believe that we are crap, we are better than that surely!!! The problem is we do our homework for the games like ipswich, but burton, we expect to turn up and win, we don't put in a shift,we don't work hard enough! Even without a central striker, we should have enough players to to put or walk the ball into the net. And there i said the problem? Walk the ball into the net. Maybe we have too many techno players??? Joka likes these type of players, but he needs to find some system that works and with more consistancy, if that makes any sense.

Ayite, Kebano & Oyi were poor again today, neither in their attacking play or in their team work ethic which verges on the apalling at times . But as Kamara is also not very good who can SJ play ? We don't have a decent striker apart from Fonte ( and he's mainly a winger ! ), What can SJ do about it ? nothing ! We don't have a plan B, apart from a wing & a prayer. Jokanovic is an excellent coach, but even he can't make a silk purse out of the mostly sow's ears that Khan & Kline recruit.

we deserve better as well...Joka is not performing, excuses are now really boring. Read the comments below (not least regarding tactical play), that is how fans are feeling. Some fans are really quite intelligent and some have played professionally, perhaps barrett you should not be so dismissive. The players profile is wrong within the squad but a first eleven of players should be good enough to compete at this level, Joka is not getting a tune out of them this season, there are many reasons for this.

At the end of the day Jokanovic may not choose the personnel but he sure as hell chooses which positions he wants to fill and the type of player he wants. As previoysly stated, only two new players started the game today and one of them scored. Martin scored one goal after Christmas so we played with pretty much last season's team that made the play-offs save Cairney and Malone. Perhaps quite contentiously, I do not see anything more than an average player in Sessignon (if that) and he is no superstar in my eyes. He can't tackle, his passing is simple five yarders to the nearest player, on Tuesday and today was woeful and he is knocked off the ball too easily. Odoi should be playing left back whilst we wait for Soares and Sess needs to go back to the drawing board for a while. Jokanovic picks the team, sets the tactics and delivers the pre match instructions and I can't believe we did not have a game plan that would at least have secured a draw (no matter how many goals Burton scored).

MST absolute rubbish Sess is brilliant but needs to play in front of a proper left back Odoi is no left back no matter what you say he is an out and out central defender who can cover at right back the players imposed on the manager are not fit for purpose . ( see my earlier post) Cairney and Malone were the main reason we made the playoffs

I agree with MST. He doesn't seem to be improving to me and has missed several very easy chances. We were average on Wednesday and the same team were poor today. I know we have injuries but if it's broken you need to do something to fix it. At the moment the manager isn't.

Agree with MST.The players good, bad or indifferent are playing as they are coached so there is no point in blaming them for not winning. JS is the man who has them playing the way the do,out from the back regardless. Possesion football ,going nowhere. He sets the tactics picks the team and makes the subs. Its him that needs to change and stop whinging and repeating himself .Either that or go..

Very bad day for us! I think the players will be scratching their heads at this result. Even if we had got that equaliser from that ojo shot? We are still not playing well. The only thing left what can turn our season around? Is that we beat Middlesboro next week!!! That is a tall order to beat Boro, and i think that if we do? The Fulham faithfulS will be willing to forgive. Leeds lost today against millwall, still no excuse, we have to take care of our own. The frustrating thing is that we are good enough, but for some unknown reason, we just can't string the passes together and finish... Deep down in our hearts we know that we are good enough,so no amount of help from the ref, and dodgy decisions, shouldn't deter fulham from scoring more goals than the opposition. I would have Aluko back in a shot. I know he misses a lot, but he caused real havoc to defences which brought the play and more goals to fulham...By the way, Derby lost to bristol 4-1. In a way, we can't sum up the championship at the moment....

Possession football does NOT mean anything.................... UNLESS you convert your chances. Once again 70% possession, pretty passing, sideways, backwards and occasionally forwards, but does it lead to goals? NO, not if you play for Fulham FC. What has happened this season. Leeds, Sheff Wed, Wolves have all taken a step forward, we have taken two steps backwards. We should have brought Woy back before Palace knicked him. He knows how to balance a team. He may have lost today but watch them climb the table (after their next 3 tough games). It is not necessarily what players you have, but the way you organise them and get 100% out of them every match. That is how teams like Bournemouth got into the PL and will remain there. A good manager who gets his team to work hard for their places. Why do we always get it wrong? COYW .........

Joka needs to be at a bigger more ambitious club than FFC a club that allows him to buy the players he wants . I don't go along with loan players except maybe Kalas who we at least tried to buy . We should send back Mollo, Ojo Graham Kamara Soares who is still injured (some signing that one ! ) and maybe even Fonte but I haven't seen enough of him yet to make a positive decision because he is injured a lot as well and buy back Malone which would allow Sess to play in the position all the above players are trying unsuccessfully to fill . player recruitment is a vital part of running a football team successfully, but notwithstanding as you state MST we have the team of last season (minus Martin, Malone) so why are we not performing, the blame is totally with Joka. I have analysed his performances in some depth and at times he is quite simply hopeless. Other managers will adapt to situations, he is just slow on the uptake or doesn't react at all. Furthermore, he is one dimensional and as previously mooted our set plays are appalling. At the moment I am far from convinced of his capabilities, yes it was good last season, 1) we did have an option with Martin 2) other teams had not quite worked out our play, those that did we struggled against 3) this season there is no hiding and the club player recruitment has boxed us in totally.

If the club insist on buying identical players then we cannot alter our game. Screaming out for a proper number 9 and one that could win a header. A bunch of lightweights signed instead and £5M was it? for AK47 who is more suited to the local pub team. Ojo can't finish from 2 yards. Mollo looks handy but we have a team that are totally incapable of winning headers let alone score from them (Kebano at Ipswich just the one!). Look at us at corners! When was the last time we scored from one? Brighton away I think! We are a team of clones. How can there be a Plan B. Can't stand the man but Martin made a difference. It seems that all those appalling the transfer window are now seeing what everyone else said and have now taken the blaming the coach to cover up their shame!

And another example of our amazing transfer system. Ryan Sees is true class. We all know that but he needs to be further up the pitch to complement his talent. He can't at present. Why? Because the club signed a left back that's so injured he is not even in training! Good move!

Get in a couple of expirenced champ defenders cut out defeats to the likes of burton. If we have any thoughts of getting out of this league need to go to places like that and win regardless of bad decisions ( and that pen decision was diabolical ) !!!!!

2-1 defeat to the second worst defence in the Championship. This is no more than a disgrace. How can 'Joker' blame it on the changes in the squad from last year? Who that was any good has actually left. Yes we do miss Cairney, but the rest should be strong enough to do much better. All the additions to strengthen is not working, so what excuses can Joker use now? West Ham can have him. What about a swap with their manager? Sounds good to me. There are no stand out teams in this division and must have been our best chance to get back to EPL. Not looking like it, more like another relegation scrap.

Our squad is good enough if managed properly, and players that knew what they were supposed to be doing on the field. Headless chickens is what it looks like with no leader on or off the pitch.

So last season everybody including the opposition said we were playing the best football in the league and I agree it was good to watch. So then what happened? We didn't get promoted. Huddersfield apparently thought we were the best team they had seen. They got promotion we didn't. So now we seem to be back to square one. It must be the ref? It must be the injuries? So even if we do play great football is it what it takes to get out of this league? Does not look like it.

Chin up, Owen. If it were easy being a Fulham supporter and displaying positivity every day, they'd all be that way. So now the gloom and doomers can self medicate with the I told you so posts and feel better that on this Saturday they may be right. As hard as it's getting, keep the positive vibe going. Hopefully if things turn around, you can be one of the few to claim the I told you so banner in May. Today does feel like being kicked in the nuts, though.

Please don't blame the match on the penalty! If we are good enough, the penalty would be irrelevant!! Unfortunately, it doesn't appear we are good enough!!

Even a very weak team like Burton have sussed us out. Only way out is to play the old Italian style. Everybody defending for 89 minutes ,bore us all to death and get some goals on the counter attack. We will get many more points and I will prefer to read the Beano than go to the cottage.

Excuses, excuses that is what we will hear, from the coach and from the players. Quite simply, we have not been good enough this season and the responsibility sits with the coach. If he doesn’t like the set up at Fulham regarding recruitment he should not have signed a contract. There is so much wrong with the recruitment this summer, not least the quality of player but also what we can all see that the profile of the squad is wrong. And, we have not recruited a central forward other than Fonte. Joka seems devoid of solutions, his tactics are lame, his set pieces are atrocious and his in game management is questionable. Losing to Burton (the first time we have) is testament to what is wrong and we are clearly going nowhere this season other than mid table mediocrity. Of course some will say, we are without Cairney or the refs are to blame but that only masks deeper problems. Disappointing to say the least.

You can scream at the Khans but if the manager can't put a side out that can get something at Burton I fear for the future. It wasn't working in the first half so why wait so long to change the players or the tactics. I am starting to have my doubts.

Cant blame the ref, can't blame the penalty. Just poor. We seem unable to change tactics, just carry on through the game with same style. It's all very well keeping possession but useless if you can't score. It will be same excuses.

Cant believe the level of referees in the championship is so appalling. Surely the F A must hace some type of commission set up not to penalise them for odd errors but for continuously allowing dirty play .Kebano has been hit all over the place and I doubt hes going to be better off in the second half. If Mollo came on for him he may well hammer any burton culprit into his grave.

Even with the foul play and blatant referee error, surely we should have enough quality to not be 2-1 down! Our 11 should be good enough to beat 14 of them! Coyw get your acts together!!

I am feeling really angry and so disappointed, with today's result. We must forget any promotion involvement this season, and just concentrate on finishing above mid way if we are lucky. Burton lost to Leeds 5-0 in their last home game, so our result is a real body blow. We have gone so badly backwards since last season, it's unbelievable.

Watching various news bulletins on the Parsons green bombing one thing struck me as odd,not once did any say they were in Fulham, now we are used to Gary Linaker and company ignoring us and other media sport people but never expected the news media to join them, cant find any thing that tells me why parsons green is so called,a small area of grass is in the the lane but that's it,just found out that Walham green,is actually, what the eel brook common was known as years ago, as there is no place called walham green any were around the station now called F/B ST and never has been .

Bishop, get real. We had a terrorist attack and only due to their incompetence it didn't end up a mass murder. The last thing anyone care about is whether parson green is fulham or not, and whether fulham is mentioned. It's not relevant. This is not petty football topic we like to whinge about.

I have supported Fulham for nearly 60 years as did my late dad and grandfather and now my son and grandson. At home to Hull my son took me to the game and got tickets in our beloved Hammersmith End.Going to our seats I went flying onto my face I would so like to thank the fans who helped me ,the wonderful medical staff and back room facilities. I was cared for and taken to Chelsea and Westminster hospital. I was kept in for 24 hours I look a mess and feel lousy. Thankou to our great fans backroom stall and the hospital Thankyou all .So proud to be part of the greatest club and fans . Thankyou all Glenn
